The owner of our company closed the plant effective today for an indefinite "two-weeks" period, as our clients accounts-payable offices are 90% unoccupied.

Listen to DAB United Christian Broadcasting. UCB Christian Radio 2. So encouraging and comforting!
May the Lord grant peace to His people and give wisdom to all concerning this issue. I for one am grateful for all such forums who's focus is in attaining truth!

The wife and I are close friend’s w/a Chinese lady over here doing some doctorate work. She has an interesting take on what happened in Italy. She says many wealthy Chinese have taken up residence in Italy. What struck us was her point of timing. This all hit around the Chinese New Year festivities. Her guess is those wealthy Chinese came back to celebrate (which is like our Christmas) and then returned to Italy.

That didn’t exactly sound too far out of the realm of possibilities. The POTUS virus-team latest rate of spread think it’s safe to assume 3+% more transferable than our seasonal-flu. In yesterday’s press conference, I was certain I heard the president say, the rate of contagious spread was much lower than what was first determined.

Admittedly, couple this with that factor of it being so elusive, here are the three things we have gathered,

One, the nearest reports of those runaway pockets of spreading everyone fears, is in Ohio, like hundreds of miles from us.

Two, yes, both of us and several of our acquaintances we know have experienced the flu bug this year unlike ever being experienced before. Two-to-three times nasal flow and four-to-five times fatigue.

Three, the one biggest pockets of contagion out there are those flames shooting out snaring souls otherwise minding their own level of logic. Fever pitch doesn’t help the populace trying to settle in on accuracy.

How do you conclude? Mine, yes there is something there, but was prudence justified the day they shut down countries like ours for a mere 50-deaths? Should logic be shut down for risking that spread, that's you and me and the media advancing front and backdoor alarm? Or are we boxed with the temptation to fatally risk financial or natural lives?

I heard this week that NHS and Health & Social Care workers are being given protected time to visit supermarkets to go shopping. Whilst it is nice for those working in these settings to be given recognition for their hard work, I am not sure if this gesture is the right one and I fear it is sending the wrong message.

Although nursing, medical and support staff are working extremely hard, there is one thing most of them do not need to worry about: they are not threatened with their jobs or income. In contrast, many people are worried about redundancy or taking a reduction in income due to businesses collapsing.

There are many people involved in looking after people during this coronavirus outbreak, and many of them are working long days and nights, all around the clock. I'm talking about electricians, plumbers, police officers, firemen, service personnel, engineers and support staff who are keeping our communication infrastructures working (such as our phones, computers and networks). I'm also talking about farmers, food production companies, and supermarket staff working tirelessly to meet increased demand. There are lots of volunteers who give their services for free, some of them 24 hours a day. Many of them are people who do not work because they have to support members of their family at home.

It is important that everyone is appreciated and recognised for all the work they do.

Praying. An hour or so ago I spoke with one of the 'big box' floor clerks, very helpful. The toilet paper outlook is worse than I suspected, panic has moved the buying sector off a reasonable, manageable norm. 250 customers stood waiting before the store's opening, scarfed up the TP reserves and the next shipment isn't likely for over a week. All rice and flour bulk inventory has vanished. The spirit of panic and unnecessary difficulties I feel isn't too far off if folks don't act in a concerted and reasonable fashion.

My town is starting to notice the effects of social isolation.

The Manor Hospital in Walsall is closed to visitors and the car park looks almost empty.

As I was biking through town, I hardly noticed any pedestrians - certainly not for the usual time of day, and traffic was also a bit lighter than usual.

It will be interesting to see where they are taking this in the next few days. Michigan's governor just made some rash declarations, to the point of driving the poor and middle-class populous to near anarchy.

If that proves true, then America will soon be overthrown.

Taken from the poem Desiderata:-

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Toilet rolls still unavailable?
Limited amounts. The more costly warehouses will have TP in the first hour or two of opening, but other than that, lack lack lack. It is finally turned into a rationed amount. Thank God for generous neighbors on the street.

Peter's journey to Christies hospital for radiotherapy treatment took only 20 minutes, just so little on the road, half the normal journey time. Everywhere was so quiet, even the hospital.

Unfortunately yes. But I don't think people are stockpiling on toilet paper as much as they were, so hopefully we'll see some in the shops soon.
Maybe they've "turned over a new leaf".
