Remember, NARROW is the way, and it is not the wide gate path.
Jesus said narrow is the way, and FEW be there that find it.
This means many are not on the narrow path. Popular Christianity casts their net wide that many will make it (When this is not true).
Jesus is the narrow way... The many are those who fall into false religions.

Nothing in there about losing your salvation if you don't understand the trinity perfectly.

The Trinity is simply as Scripture reveals it. We know God is one by Scripture, and we know God is also three persons by Scripture, too. He is three and yet one.

Jesus was talking to a Jewish audience at that time. So these were supposed to be believers in the GOD of Israel generally speaking. The Pharisees obviously did not get it right (generally speaking). If Jesus returned today, things would be no different. Jesus would be rebuking the church leaders of our day, as well (for not trusting in His Word by obeying it).

I believe it was actually GOD and not the church to establish NT canon.
Dropped it already bound in black leather from Heaven? Nah, didn't happen. The Church established the Canon, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Canon itself is accepted as a matter of Holy Tradition, call it whatever else you will. And before the Canon was established, the Church operated on tradition alone.

I am not familiar with all of the creeds by heart.
You probably could have saved yourself a lot of effortby just looking at them and seeing what the Church has always accepted of the essential beliefs of the Faith.

this is why I strive not to talk with Lutherans (generally speaking). They just do not get basic morality or the goodness of God.
Personally, I think you've misunderstood the basic immorality of fallen human beings. "Just follow the rules" is the standard demand of religion. Never worked, never will. We're inherently damaged goods.

God's grace teaches us to deny ungodliness and that we should live righteously and godly in this present world (Titus 2:11-12).
Yep, we should. And we all fail in that. As a group, we tend to try and doctor the definitions of what living righteously means so that we can feel like we're getting it done, when in fact we aren't. We don't live up to our Lord's Two Commandments worth diddly, so we don't look at 'em. We say "I don't swear, steal very much, lie more than I have to, commit adultery except in my heart, etc." and decide we're alright guys. Tain't so.

Yes, it was a Jewish audience, who believed they could get to heaven by following a list of rules... Jesus was telling them, no, he was the way, not the deeds they did. Many who claim to know him actually believe that their works will save them, and he will say to them," I knew you not.."

I'm not so sure this is accurate - remembering first the faith of Abraham, then other faithful Jews - some who recognized the Messiah Yeshua when He was still in the womb! and others who recognized the Messiah Yeshua when He was just a baby !

concerning "many", it seems many more gentiles today claim to know Him... and multitudes believe they are saved right up until they die, then on judgement day find out they are thrown out, by Jesus Himself. ....

Yes, there were Jews that recognized him as the Messiah but they were a minority. The majority at that time were hardened against him. What did he say about them?
" these people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
9 They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules."

Actions follow where the heart leads. They could not see God although he was right in front of them, instead they clung to thier traditions.

I wasn't referring only to those who recognized Jesus as Messiah -

rather to those who were living by faith and not as if by keeping a list of rules/ the law/ to 'save' themselves ....
those faithful ones obeying Yahweh's Torah as Yahweh says to. (then and now, today)

Any 'big thing' for believers, from Scripture, and today, about this basic immorality of fallen human beings
RELATED
to the current medical/ political deceptions all over the world ?

Simply for help revealing the unreliability of governments and agencies and corporations to tell people the truth (are they even able to do so ?) ... I think they rarely do..

Same for every nation/ people (gentiles as well as or more than the Jews) .... the whole world is immersed in sinfulness and wickedness and lies - all deceived, except the ones Yahweh has spared....

I say being filled with the Holy spirit is a pretty big thing, christians deny this teaching because they have an interpretation of the bible, other christians affirm is good teaching because they have experienced the Holy spirit, to who should we listen...

Read Matthew 7:23 again and look at the context. Jesus did not say depart from me because you done wonderful works in my name. Yes, they did wonderful works but Jesus said that the reason they were to depart from Him was because they worked iniquity or lawlessness (which is sin). Jesus said He did not know them. In 1 John 2:3, it basically says that we can have an assurance that we know the Lord if we keep His commandments.

Matthew 7:26-27 says that the person who does not do what Jesus says is like a fool who built his house upon the sand and when a storm came, great was the fall of that house.

So Matthew 7:23 is clearly about obedience to the Lord and not disobedience.

What was thier iniquity? What is God's will that is mentioned? He said he never knew them. They were never saved, so not believers falling into sin, but fake Christians.

"Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”

Luke 9:23-24
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

The narrow gate is narrow mainly because people refuse to submit totally to Christ.

They have ideas of what is required and simply will not deny their own will-power, self-will, strength and ability and depend totally on Christ.

Taking up the cross is daily renewing our faith in what Christ has done for us.

We have to empty ourselves of our self efforts and live by faith in Him, or we simply will not make it.

Yes. We need to believe in Jesus for salvation. No doubt about it. We cannot be saved without His grace. But we also need Sanctification after we are saved by God's grace, too. Again. Context. Matthew 7:26-27 says the person who does not do what He says is like a fool who built his house upon the sand and when a storm came, great was the fall of that house. Not enough for you? Matthew 7:21 says not everyone who says unto me, "Lord, Lord" will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he that does the will of the Father. According to 1 Thessalonians 4:3, the will of God (God the Father) is our Sanctification. This is in putting away sin because it says for us to abstain from fornication as a part of Sanctification in 1 Thessalonians 4:3.

We need to look at the whole counsel of God's Word, and not just those more comforting verses were prefer to see.

No it isn't. This is no way in line with what "bearing your cross" means according to the Bible.

"And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:" (John 19:17).

It means to suffer for God's cause. Jesus took up His cross as a part of His obedience to the Father and in suffering on our behalf for our sins. We must also bear up our cross, too.

"If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:" (2 Timothy 2:12).

“And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them, If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish. Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace. So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.” (Luke 14:25-33).
‭‭
Looking at the context above, to be Jesus's disciple, we have to hate (love less) our own life. Meaning, we do not follow or love our own life, but we deny ourselves, and we suffer for Christ (we take up His cross that he took up). It then talks about forsaking all that we have so as to be His disciple, as well. Usually if we love our life, we want to build our kingdom here in some way. This is what rich people do, but even a middle class income person can seek to put their treasure on this Earth, too. They can buy a speed boat. Have a big house. A super expensive car, etc. 1 John 2:15-17 says love not the world neither the things in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in them.

2Tim. 4:6-8
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I HAVE KEPT THE FAITH:

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Paul fought the good fight of faith by submitting himself totally to God.

He took self out to the way for the Holy Spirit to have His will.
