Nice Yttrium! Many here are fake Christians. I am leaving this site, I am done my part sharing!
So, are you qualified to run?
Trump has shown he is willing to do stuff like delay arms to Ukraine (for whatever reasons, during an active ongoing war for survival....), a country Putin is trying to partially absorb over time.
As shown already for instance when Putin/Russia took away the big chunk called Crimea by force.
And the war backed by Putin in East Ukraine where Russian separatists want to take more land from Ukraine.
The implication is what about other surrounding nations Putin might be thinking of as next....
He'd want someone in the whitehouse that would make it more easy, by being less interested in helping defend those nations, and more interest in just cutting deals or being praised, etc.
When the U.S. president is more interested in cutting deals, Putin can cut that president a deal, say in exchange for non-interfere during the next country where Putin tries to take pieces or perhaps the entirety.
Sure does apply. Having an illegal in my immediate family has reduced my fear of them quite a bit.
That's a very valid point, all right. The president's enemies like to talk as though his policies have been beneficial to the Russians, but that's obviously untrue, and Trump has remedied the severe cuts in the Defense Department budget that were instituted under Obama, so there is no way that could benefit any would-be aggressor.
To support lawlessness.Trump is strengthening America. One would think that Putin would support a candidate that would weaken America. What's going on here?
Your posts are reasoned and balanced. However, I can see no way to excuse Russia's annexation of Crimea (in order to afford her an outlet to the Mediterranean) or, for that matter, parts of Georgia which she has annexed in recent years--also done without justification. Or her incursion into Eastern Ukraine.I believe, yet hold that I could always be wrong, that Russia doesn't desire to be an aggressor..

But if you mean that she does not want an outright World War or something on that scale, etc., then that might be correct.

Because people will beat him with pipes? Or that is not your concern?I have a nephew who is gay. I don't fear him...I fear for him.

Strong? Let's see, Trump is sabotaging relations with allies,....
.....and doing pretty much anything Putin wants.
Sounds like someone Putin would prefer in office to me.
Resulting in painful sanctions....Under a Democratic president, not Trump.
Considering this, it would make much more sense for Putin to try to promote any of the Democratic Party candidates.
Didn't get the memo? Russia hasn't been a communist country since 1991.Isn't the elephant in the room that everyone seems to forget is to ask the question what political ideology is more in line with Russia? Not the socialistic, some would say Communistic type of agenda that the left wing democrats put forth? Most certainly it is. So why should it even be considered Russia wants Trump to win? And why would they want Trump to win when he's making America's economy stronger and stronger? Would he not want one who makes it weaker and weaker?
Firstly, Trump isn't strengthening America. He's increased our debt, alienated our allies, and has enacted policies that will negatively impact our environment, locally and globally.
Moreover, Putin would support him because:
1) Trump has already shown his loyalty to Putin. He took Putin's word over that of our intelligence agencies because Putin "said it strongly".
2) Trump has pushed for foreign policy that supports Russian interests. He has weakened NATO and alienated our traditional allies.
3) Trump works to escalate division in the US. His dishonesty, corruption, and divisive rhetoric are fertilizing the division that already existed in the US.
4) Trump has been sympathetic/advocating of authoritarianism. He has been adulating dictators around the globe, expressing his admiration for them as strong leaders.
If that was meant to satire -- 'unlike the US, Russia does not interfere in other countries' internal affairs' -- it was too subtle!Putin is not going to support any candidate, because unlike the US, Russia does not interfere in other countries' internal affairs. I'm sure of course that he will prefer a US president whom he can actually work with.
