How many times do we hear in church "we are made in God's image" and yet do not apply this to unborn babies?

Ecclesiastes 11:5
As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.

Isaiah 44:2
This is what the Lord says— he who made you, who formed you in the womb, and who will help you: Do not be afraid, Jacob, my servant, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.

Isaiah 44:24
[ Jerusalem to Be Inhabited ] “This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am the Lord, the Maker of all things, who stretches out the heavens, who spreads out the earth by myself,

Isaiah 49:5
And now the Lord says— he who formed me in the womb to be his servant to bring Jacob back to him and gather Israel to himself, for I am honored in the eyes of the Lord and my God has been my strength—

Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

I agree, it doesn't make sense
to cut the precious little ones short.

They should be loved
and mean as much to us as they do to God.

This is why those who perform abortions and those who promote them are condemned, because killing an unborn baby is killing a person formed in the image of God.

"Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God He made man" (Genesis 9:6).

Even though abortion is not a capital offence in our countries, those who practice and support it will not stand in the judgment, but will come under the justice of God and the separated from Him and Christ for all eternity.

The only way for such people to be saved from that horrible future is to turn totally to Christ. The Scripture says, "Come boldly to God's throne of grace to receive mercy and grace to help in time of need." A person can only come that way through Christ and His finished work of Calvary. Then they have to "go and sin no more".

Perhaps because over 50% of fertilized eggs fail to implant in the uterine wall.
So naturally, over half of all unborn die from lack of nourishment.
Do we think they have no agony? Or do we just understand that this
world cannot be made perfect through our efforts.

It makes perfect sense if you think about the single women who tried to avoid conceiving babies and lack what they need to change their minds about getting abortions. Every time I complain about this pro-lifers brush my comments aside as if I am making stuff up or my concerns do not matter.

Christians should always remember the mom needs as much love as the baby and help her love the baby too instead of say, "Abortion is murder." She needs to understand that little life deserves to be loved.

God has His hand on that. He has always known who is coming into this world and who is not.

Does God Know Us Before We Are Born or Conceived?
The Bible Verse of Pre-knowledge – Psalm 129:16
Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. – Psalm 129:16

The proper interpretation of Psalm 139 is that God knows each individual all the way from the pre-embryonic stage through death. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them (Psalm 139:16).

Thank you > I do need to have hope for people, not only welcome reasons to judge them.

Abortion is a product of how people have been brought up and have developed socially. It is a product of what various people have done. So, attacking just the endpoint act is not taking care of what is causing it.

non-sequitur. We're not talking about death of the unborn that occurs naturally or without human intervention. We're talking about the willful, deliberate, and premeditated destruction of a baby that has done nothing wrong, and is intentionally killed by the hand of man.

This is why pregnancy is medically defined as officially starting when the implantation is completed, not a second after fertilization.

Biologically speaking, a new human being comes into existence at fertilization. That's a biological fact.

Couple that biological fact with the Biblical Truth that all human beings are created in the Image of God and possess inherent moral worth and value, and the natural, logical conclusion is that the 98.5% of abortions which are performed for convenience sake are immoral.

Many will come to realize that later on in life.
To repent and never do it again.

So I have a question for you
and since you like to quote from the bible so will I.

Matthew
Chapter 13

38 The field is the world;
the good seed are the children of the kingdom;
but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil;
the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire;
so shall it be in the end of this world.

41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels,
and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend,
and them which do iniquity;

42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire:
there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

My question is are these made in God's image?
Please no explanations or thesis a simple yes or no is suffice.

So how do you guys live with yourself by supporting a government and state that by your definition allows a bit under million of children get murdered every year ?

There are countries that have banned abortion. Any particular theological reason not to move to them and support their governments ?

Sure your standard of living in Nicaragua might not be quite what you are used to but certainly is should not matter since in exchange you would get to live under their enlightened abortion laws.

Can you find anything in Scripture to support the principle of moving to countries that are more in-line with one's theological beliefs? I can't think of any at the moment.

Nope, nor do I think there is any verse that advocates staying if someone feels the laws are unjust.

Guess it is up to your personal conscience to figure out if a nation allowing murder of 800 000 + children a year is worthy of your citizenship.
