Observant Jews would have had beards. The Hellenized Jews of the may have adopted Greek or Roman shaving or plucking practices. But even common Romans had beards.

I'm guessing he in all likelihood did have a beard. No one would have paid any attention to him if he did not.

He must have looked much like other observant Jews of that time. The Bible gives nothing special about his physical appearance, rather he was looking like the ordinary believing Jew.

I think I'll go with the more classic Jesus image, long curly hair. They pulled his hair, so can't been too short. I know my avatar is a westernized picture. If the skin, hair and beard were darker, I believe it would be more correct. Maybe it's time to change it?
