Know someone who died recently. Did not know her that well. Overwhelmed by grief. Cried for first time in years. Violent, violent sobbing for a very long time. Incapacitated.

But nothing was released. Nothing "happened." Do not know where to go.

The only answer is to come to Jesus the Saviour, there is no other way. I lost my son and thought I would die, but Jesus helped me through.
I pray for you, Jesus loves you.

It could be helpful to ask yourself why you had such a strong reaction in this case. Maybe you already have and the answer didn't seem obvious, but it seems unlikely that you'd have a strong reaction like this for no reason. If you search out the reason why this event hit you so hard it may help you to better process the feelings.

There is no shame in having compassion for the soul of an acquaintance, your grief is real and comes from the heart. The only advice that will serve you well is take it to the LORD in prayer; tell Him your feelings in ordinary speech and ask Him for specific help. Prayerfully read a psalm or two, then prayerfully praise Him and thank Him. He can and will deal with it, believe Him. Do not worry, but if worry does set in again it is good to return to prayer again. I will pray for you this evening. God bless you.

Hi Archer,

I know someone who died for me ; it is my Lord Jesus Christ.

Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.-Isaiah 53:4

Yes, the Lord was bearing our griefs and carried our sorrows !

This is also written:
Blessed be the Lord, who DAILY bears us up; God is our salvation. Selah -Psalms 68:19

The Lord Jesus Christ DAILY bears up our griefs and DAILY carries our sorrows !

When you are grieving and sorrowful, you can go to the Lord; For He is also called the Man of Sorrows.

When the psalmist go to the Lord, this is what the psalmist proclaim to God when his soul faced with sorrows:

My soul clings to the dust;
give me life according to Your word!
When I told of my ways, You answered me; teach me Your statutes!
Make me understand the way of Your precepts, and I will meditate on Your wondrous works.
MY SOUL MELTS AWAY FOR SORROW; strengthen me according to Your word!
Put false ways far from me and graciously teach me Your law!
I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I set Your rules before me.
I cling to Your testimonies, O LORD;
let me not be put to shame!
I will run in the way of Your commandments when You enlarge my heart! -Psalm 119:25-32

Say to God again and again what the psalmist proclaim !
God will strengthen you according to His word.

Believe that you receive it !
It will come to pass !

It could be underlining pain that was triggered. I lost my eldest son a few months ago and most days im numb living it in third person almost like on the outside looking in and then out of the blue the realisation and shock and grief floods me until it goes numb again .
