No matter what has happened, God has not let you down. There is always a reason for disappointment and there is usually some problem with us that led to the disappointment. God gave His Son, Jesus, to die in your place. You do not get greater love than that.

Many years ago, I was desperate for something to happen and I was sure it was God's will. It was not. It did not happen. Eventually I came to realise that what I wanted would have been a disaster.

To have our prayers answered, we need to ensure that we are right with God. A bit of a checklist -
Are you born again? That's not essential as God answers the prayers of unbelievers from time to time but it sure helps.
Assuming you are born again, do you have any unforgiveness in your heart? That can hinder us from receiving the desires of out heart
Do you pray in Jesus name? That's what Jesus told us to do.
Does your request involve another person? God is not going to violate another person's free will.
Do you have any unconfessed sin? That hinders our prayers

We need to be sure that we are praying according to God's will. We need to check out our motives and make sure that they pure.

"You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures." James 4:3

Could this be the way that He is talking to you.

You keep asking Him to hear you - perhaps it's time for you to ask Him " Lord , what is Your plan for me " and then listen to Him - it may take a while for you to recognise that He is talking to you.

I’ve tried that as well. I’m not a smart man. I need Him to speak with a loud audible voice. Please pray for me

When God eventually answered Job's complaint, it was not in a way Job was expecting. You need to know that God is good. He will respond in due time. Our troubles are usually self inflicted, sent by Satan or a mixture of both.

The Heavenly Father does not play games. If we are praying to someone who does that, we're not praying to Him.

I agree with the posts above. Also, complaining against the Lord is not helpful. We are given an object lesson with the Israelites in the desert. Because they griped and complained against Him, they never got to see the Promised Land but died there.

I pray you will come to know Who the Lord really is and that you will get peace and help as HE knows is best for you.

You are utterly wrong. I can't tell you why without knowing a lot more about your situation. I do know God. He is not the problem, I can assure you of that.

Watchman Nee was one of the greatest Christians who has ever lived. He was with a life saver friend once. Someone fell into the water and was in obvious trouble. The lifesaver just watched. Mr Nee got angry and demanded to know why the lifesaver would not help. The lifesaver replied that it was too soon. While the man in the water was still thrashing around and struggling, the lifesaver was not able to help. If he jumped in straight away, the struggling man was likely to drown them both. The lifesaver waited until the drowning man was tired and could not struggle any more. Then he rescued the man.

When you quit blaming God, resisting Him and falsely accusing Him, you might get some help. Your attitude stinks. You need to get some respect for God. He is not your butler. You are supposed to be His servant.
