That's correct! Jesus chose the nation of Israel to spread the Kingdom of God.

That's why they were given the law and were the people from which our Lord would be born.

But they rejected Him and He turned to the church.

Actually he turned next to the lost sheep of the house of Israel; the remnants of the northern kingdom that remained in Samaria. The disciples ministered to the Gentiles later, Christ ministered to Israel.

Don't know what that is. Could you explain?

You'll want to look it up and study it. This is covanent theology..

I can lead you to some books, but if you've come this far you already understand it. I studied the topic because of my experience so that I could understand it from scripture.

While I am middle eastern, I am Israeli (non-jewish), Bedouin Arab and Roman (bloodlines), so I was confused at first . Had to understand why I would be "Israel", as a gentile.

Samaria was a part of Israel even though the Jews considered them to be half-breeds.

The Jews despised them and would have nothing to do with them.

"we are Israel" is a spiritual expression , not literal. I think most of the scriptures should be understand by literal meaning. More spiritual expression would make more confusion. If we are Israel, who is the nation Israel? I understand we need to be grafted in Abrahamic root, but I would say I myself am a Gentile with Israeli heart. The relationship between Christian and Jews is quite importand. We are from One root.

The church must understand now or later that we are the second choice of God.

Israel has been temporarily replaced by the church. There is nothing permanent about it.
“For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.” Acts 3:22–23 (KJV 1900)

Yes we are - we are grafted into the olive tree(Israel), which is rooted in the Messiah.

the new covenant is with Israel only - when we believe on Messiah, we become part of Israel, making us part of the new covenant.

the new covenant is not made with Gentiles.

The nation of Israel that we see today is Israel in name only. Unless they accept Jesus as their Messiah they are not God's people.

This short (series summary) video demonstrates your point.

"We are Israel" is a claim of replacement theology. They believe the Church has replaced Israel and the promise to Israel is no longer in effect.

That is not what the scriptures teaches !!!
“For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.” Acts 3:22–23 (KJV 1900)

the new covenant is with God & Israel - the Messiah is the mediator

nowhere does God or Messiah, Prophets or Apostles say the Messiah is the new covenant

the new covenant is detailed here:

Jeremiah 31:31-33

I use Israel as a blanket term, not to exclude the house of Judah :)

God does it in Jeremiah 31:33
But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days

being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel,
The aliens spoken of were of the house of Israel, the ten tribes no longer of consequence. To the Jews (and Levites) the rest of their Abrahamic family of the original 12 tribes were called gentiles, in other words any one who was not a Jew (or Levite) was a gentile.
