Happy New Years, everyone!

Seeing how dead this section is, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a comparative religion reading group here. Reading stuff like Islamic mysticism, Vedic Scriptures, etc.

This has been a hard month psychologically.. my father's health.. he came close to dying.. and well he seems better now.. but I just don't now how much time I have with him left. I don't want to get into personal detail, but he's suffered permanent physical damage and despite recovering I don't see him being around for decades to come.

I wish I appreciated him more when he was in good health. Sadly this will probably be a mistake that sons make with their fathers that will never end.

I'm sorry to hear it. :(

Do you live close enough to spend more time with him now?

Yeah I live close enough to spend time with him. He is not the most social or close person in the world, but when his health gets better I definitely want to spend more time with him.

Playing the Ratchet And Clank: A Crack In Time on PS Now. Never really played a Ratchet and Clank game before but I have to say thus far it is highly enjoyable.

So many games right now actually. Still need to finished The Shadow Of The Tomb Raider and Watch Dogs 2. When I game I don't like to get too far ahead of myself. Playing new games is fun, but I like to try to finish them before I start too many other ones. Still haven't beaten Resident Evil 2, and I found Kingdom Hearts III to be really grating on my nerves because of how sappy the writing often is, lol. Still.. ideally I want to finish them sometime. It's just.. hours and hours of work.. and eh..

Oh geez, you've reminded me I need to finish Ghost of Tsushima and I probably only 1/3 through it. Ratchet and Clank always rocked though I'll have to check out the latest.

I plan to start the new Paper Mario sometime soon as well.

Ghost Of Tsushima looks great, I'll play that game probably soon when I finish the current ones.

I remember playing Paper Mario on the Gamecube back in the day.

Is that the one with the transgender Lombax?
I remember seeing the R&C movie; thought it was pretty good.

I'm waiting for Star Wars Squadrons

Thus far I haven't seen any transgender characters. That's pretty progressive for a game that came out in 2009 if that is the title.

Ah, I'm thinking of R&C: Rift Apart.

Yeah iirc that's the new title that hasn't been released yet.

Ghost Of Tsushima looks great, I'll play that game probably soon when I finish the current ones.

Tsushima is basically a great, polished, cinematic game that is what an Assassin's Creed set in feudal Japan should have felt like, imo. Ubisoft really missed the boat there.

The Gamecube Paper Mario is regarded as probably the best of the series; I played (and loved it) and also the N64 game so I have been out of the loop for awhile but I heard good things about this one from die-hard Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door fans.
