Of course not.. (and that's honest I've never been)
I wouldn't mind going for the mountain scenery round about, the proximity of the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead; and of course there is a competitive selection of hotel accommodation.

Wish it had bee shorter. No time. My military unit went through there from the airport to stop for a quick lunch break on the way to NTC (National Training Center) to train for Iraq in the Mojave Dessert. The buses stopped at a place. I think it was a casino. It had a very, very long bar table to sit at and eat. I cannot remember what I got for lunch probably was still recovering through the whole meal from shock of its cost. Then out to the buses and gone. Lots o busy-ness going on in there. wosre than what I imagined NYC streets to be like. NO, I did not even care to look and see a gambling thing of any type.

Most people in America see going to a casino for the buffet and then afterwards to spend 10 or 20 dollars on slots not as gambling perse, but as an average cost for an enjoyable evening out.

Kansas City has a couple of casinos and before I was saved I went twice for the buffet (average cost of 20 dollars at the time with gratuity), and it was really good. They had a plentiful choice of food areas, everything from American cuisine to Chinese and everything in between in their buffet so you could have a little from everywhere.. That was where I ate crawdads the first (and only) time in my life. I'd seen it on tv, so I had to try.. lol.

But to most people going to a buffet and then off to spend 20 or so dollars in a casino is just the average cost of a night out regardless of what the entertainment is, and so they see going to a casino as just entertainment, and don't do it with the intention of winning anything, but rather, with the intention of losing a predetermined amount of money they allocate for the evening.

Baptists typically abstain from such forms of entertainment (no drinking, gambling or other such potential vices - which is why my husband says I fit right in with the Baptist crowd lol) but also why people from other denominations think it's fairly comedic when a Baptist suddenly changes their abstinence stances...

The OP video had a speaker/comedian who was teasing both herself and her friend who went once and spent 10 dollars at a casino slot machine as they waited to see a show.. I thought it was cute, especially at the end where casino security said he didn't expect to run into Lucy and Ethyl when he went to work that day.. But it was geared mainly toward teasing her freind who, in her words, made the fastest denominational change in history during that hour..
