Tapper should have asked for the list, not asking makes it look like he just wanted a quick, public statement and really doesn't care about the facts.
Lankford is the wrong Republican to go head to head with, he isn't a Kevin McCarthy. Lankford is smart and well-spoken.

But as to the question--name one other country about which President Trump has ever expressed concern about corruption--there are many. Included in that list are Gambia, Serbia, Venezuela, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nicaragua, and Uzbekistan among others.

Being asked to substantiate his claim was, in Lankford's mind, a dirty trick. Who asks politicians to support their claims the way Tapper did? Next people will be expecting them tell the truth.

But as to the question--name one other country about which President Trump has ever expressed concern about corruption--there are many. Included in that list are Gambia, Serbia, Venezuela, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nicaragua, and Uzbekistan among others.

So far, no one has been able to show us one. But that's the way things go. I do remember Trump being all worked up because the U.S. and our allies pressured Ukraine to remove a corrupt prosecutor. I remember Trump being infuriated that it was a crime for U.S. companies to bribe government officials.
