The programs generated by the Obamas were generally worthwhile and working. Trump’s pettiness is shown in his zeal to remove all of those programs, with scant regard for the impact.

And he had to spear this one on her birthday....of course...

Oh, quite the contrary. Make the fast food joints bid for the schools. They get to plaster their advertisements everywhere, sell their products, there's a sponsored promotion at the start of every class. And with all the revenue, the schools might actually be able to provide for an education (crazy thought, I know).

Maybe it is best to leave these types of decisions up to the states and local school systems instead of believing everything falls within the domain of the federal government.

Could be mistaken but did they actually remove the program or rather roll back some of the requirements. And maybe there was a scant regard made to just the viability of the plan to begin with.....that most kids will not eat the stuff and just run over to the pizza shop?

The department finalized the rule however in December 2018. So you're suggesting every step of the process politicians better do a check of everyone's birthday to make sure they're compliant and careful on the roll out of policy? And actually back in March they made adjustments too....wonder why they didn't wait for her birthday? Ah, maybe because that's not the issue?
