I do not know what every Trump supporter thinks about this, and I doubt that you do either. The President may seek to call some people, but he has already made it clear that he is wary of transgressing the separation of powers.
Typically in a trial, the Defendant isn't the one that calls all the shots.
Here, Trump is the defendant.

A Prosecution team should present evidence (including witnesses)
A Defence team should present evidence (including witnesses)
A judge should preside
and an impartial Jury should decide.

This is not, however, a typical trial. For just one example, everyone here knows that an impartial Jury will not be selected from members of the public.

Sure. It is a political process and the Jury is made up of the Senate members.
They are supposed to take the position of Country and Constitution first.
But of course they typically take the position of Party first.

This will all be done in the public view. The voters will ultimately decide if each individual behaved as they wanted.

Although, I reject the premise they would be needed to clear the President. He's in no danger at this moment of being impeached since the case against him is nothing but unsubstantiated partisan claptrap.
He's already been impeached and even if he is acquitted he still will be an impeached president.
Bill Clinton was acquitted by the Senate but it didn't change the fact that he was impeached.
Trump will go down in history as the third president to be impeached no matter what happens in the Senate.

So please explain to me, why don’t you want these people to clear your Presidents name?

I am of the opinion there is nothing to clear. This entire sham has been a complete and total obstruction of Trump's first term. I'm ready for it to be done.

Do you really not want to hear what they have to say, and put this whole thing to bed once and for all?

Yes, I realy do not want to hear what they have to say. I do not trust the Democratic party to tell the truth even in the smallest of issues concerning Trump. I have lost all respect for those in office, and have heard quite enough as is.

For a follow up question, are you not also scared that next time there’s a Democrat in power this precedent will also be used in reverse?

No. The damage caused, and resentment produced by the Democrats will ensure they do not get a majority for quite some time. In the meantime, Trump is pushing for term limits in congress, and an overhaul to the impeachment laws so no other president is ever railroaded again by a rogue congress.

Everyone remembers why they were impeached.

Bill Clinton for kissing a girl and lying about it under oath

Donald Trump for pressuring Ukraine (while under attack from Russia) to interfere in the next USA presidential election to improve Trump's re-election chances.

Nixon (almost impeached) for breaking into the Democratic party offices to help him in the upcoming elections.

Although, admittedly I don't really know why Andrew Johnston was impeached.

And this is the first American President to ever have been impeached in an attempted coup. History will definitely remember this one. I think this is also the first known coup attempt on a sitting President.

The Democratic party aren't calling for Democratic party members to testify.
They are calling for Republican Executive Branch members to testify as well as Trump's personal attorney.

Would you trust these people's testimonies?

Matter of semantics at this point. There is no other way of terming a multinational plot conspired by our own congress against a sitting president to remove them.

If Trump were removed then Pence would become president and the Republicans would still hold office.
How would that be a coup for the Democratic party?

I am from the United States of America. The accused is not required to prove their innocence to keep from being charged with a crime. Charge Trump with a crime and have a criminal court proceeding.

I do not care who is called. The Democrats will use any opportunity than can to continue this process. They will run everyone thru the mud to get to Trump, and there is nothing there. Why go thru all that? Let them lose their minds as we have already become accustomed to anyways.

By organizing the removal of a sitting President from office in a seditious, maybe treasonous manor. A lot of federal laws have been broke to impeach Trump. Including the misuse of congressional powers. The misuse of FISA, military intelligentsia, federal agencies, and conspiring with foreign powers. This is no little thing. No matter how much people rail about it this genie is not going back in the bottle.

I’ll need a citation on how each of these 4 things were violated for the House to issue the two articles they are impeaching Trump on.

Have at it. Find yourself some citations. You obviously have internet. I am willing to discuss, explain, and even rationalise, but I'm not doing all this footwork to just be running around in circles anymore.

This is all going to come out anyways. Just a matter of time. So there is no need for me to be jumping thru hoops.

Tell me I'm wrong... Claim victory and have a nice day. Or discuss it. *shrugs* Your choice.

Correct. I would expect that the trial defence occurs after the charges have been laid.

Charge Trump with a crime and have a criminal court proceeding.
You cannot indict a sitting USA president, hence the impeachment process.
Articles of Impeachment have been drafted and voted upon against Donald Trump
Abuse of Power
Obstruction of Congress

They will run everyone thru the mud to get to Trump, and there is nothing there. Why go thru all that?
In support of ongoing democracy, ensure a fair election process, protect vulnerable allies from a rough government.

I don’t know that you’re wrong. But I looked. I couldn’t find any information on how the House violated any of those in order to write and pass their two articles of impeachment. You obviously saw or read something to make that claim. What was it?
