Considering it's a lie, I hope it gets repeated by conservatives so that it can get shredded by their opponents. How do people believe these lies? It can only be a willingness to believe the lies; hard to imagine anyone's that ignorant.
So what do you believe happened to the billions upon billions of dollars Iran got from the U.S. ??

I can only imagine the countries with Iran being the angry, irrational middle child, Israel the smallest protected little sibling...and then America the big, eldest sibling that has to conk middle child in the head every time it gets angry and flies off the handle.

Then there's the insane cousins Russia and China that stay over the night, making everyone sleep with one eye open bc they're pretty sure Russia and China are planning on killing them in their sleep before mom and dad get home.

They did not get billions upon billions of dollars from the U.S. Do your research and get a clue.

Rule #1: SJWs always lie

You can only keep intact the alt-left ideology and worldview by devouring a smorgasborg of lies. In this case, the idea that a terrorist mastermind, responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Americans and American soldiers, not to mention a general in an enemy army is, quote a "non-enemy".
Was he an enemy when he was fighting ISIS? Oh yeah, that's right - he was, because you and the "patriotic" Americans back your government which in turn backed ISIS. You are all for destroying anyone who fights against ISIS. Look what you did to the Kurds. I keep forgetting that YOUR enemies are those who fight against your friends, i.e. ISIS and Al Qaeda. That's why Assad is your enemy too, because he doesn't like US-backed Terrorists trying to take over his country, killing Christians and others they hate.

What country is the biggest source of state-sponsored terrorism? Is it Iran? Or more likely Saudi, USA, Turkey, and Israel? Drink up that delicious blood of the Christians you people enjoy so heartily, especially when you mix it with a lot of oil.

This thread had a small clean up.

There is a lot of snark in this thread. Tone it down.

That’s right the $150B were total assets Iran had in financial institutions in the West. Yet that was freed up and the Treasury estimate was those assets if liquidated amounted to $55B.

So we know Iran did not spend that money on humanitarian aid or to rebuild and replace its aging infrastructure. So what did they spend that money on?

It was freed up after a court case where the decision was to release the money. The US had to pay interest for as long as they held it after, which was quite a while.
Instead, the US made a deal to pay less of the interest and release the money in return for some US prisoners in Iran.

If one respects the rule of law, then you obey the courts.

Why is anyone on the side of a known terrorist who was warned repeatedly to not leave Iran? Instead, he was at a meeting, not in Iran, but in Iraq with the head of Hezbollah to discuss what? Throwing a party for the Ayatollah or planning a vacation? Not hardly! Qasem Soleimani has been on the radar of terrorism since the 80's, led the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and since 1998 was commander of its Quds Force which is responsible for clandestine, extraterritorial operations. This was not an innocent politician and he didn't get to where he was by being nice to Christians. Again, I ask, why is anyone taking the side of a known terrorist? Yes, we have been actively involved with Iran one way or another since the early 50's and we shouldn't have, but that doesn't make people like Soleimani turn from a boy scout to a terrorist. He was on his way long before that and thought he was protected by the fear of Americans concerns of escalation from being targeted. Iran was granted a limited response, took it, and this chapter is closed as far as Iran goes. That said, certain politicians need to stop playing politics as usual and support the free world over terrorists.

That can be argued. It was dirty money.
