Alrighty then. I really wish people would stop with the "but X person does Y too!!1" especially when they don't.

Then you could stay quite busy in any of the many forums that start out talking about something that a democrat did, only for it to become a "Yeah, but Trump...." thread.

From the "More popcorn needed", files: House counsel suggests Trump could be impeached again | Politico

The House is open to the prospect of impeaching President Donald Trump a second time, lawyers for the Judiciary Committee said Monday.

House Counsel Douglas Letter said in a filing in federal court that a second impeachment could be necessary if the House uncovers new evidence that Trump attempted to obstruct investigations of his conduct. Letter made the argument as part of an inquiry by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals into whether Democrats still need testimony from former White House counsel Don McGahn after the votes last week to charge Trump with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
...
However, the Justice Department attorneys said the House Judiciary Committee’s decision to move forward with impeachment means there’s no longer urgency to resolve the House’s case. That bolsters the Trump administration’s argument that the courts should simply butt out of the legal showdown, the DOJ filing says.

“The reasons for refraining are even more compelling now that what the Committee asserted — whether rightly or wrongly — as the primary justification for its decision to sue no longer exists,” the DOJ lawyers wrote.
...
“This Court should decline the Committee’s request that it enter the fray and instead should dismiss this fraught suit between the political branches for lack of jurisdiction,” the Justice Department lawyers added.
...
Both of those cases are expected to be heard on Jan. 3 by partially overlapping three-judge panels
.

Which is why we need to take the House back - it is the only way to get the legislators to go back to legislating,

Nope! One only needs to be paying attention.

Yet, instead of offering a quick summary or a link to what you reference, you've spent 8 posts telling us that "it's obvious" without actually producing an argument.

The false equivalency stands until you've shown any sort of actual equivalency.

I have been, which is why I found the posted claim rather questionable. I was offering up a chance to show that my skepticism was misplaced. Alas, that offer seems to be ignored in favor of more empty assertions.

The House has passed considerably more legislation in the past year than the Senate. The right-wing narrative that the House is doing nothing more than trying to get rid of the President is, to put it bluntly, a lie.

There are better ways to spend time than to explain the obvious to those who can't see the obvious.

You’ve got nothing. If you had something you show it and prove the haters wrong. Instead you suggest you have it but refuse any attempt by someone else to see it. Next you might as well tell you so totally have a girlfriend who is a model but she lives in Canada and her parents won’t let her go on social media.

In case you've forgotten, or are just joining the conversation late without knowing what's being discussed, it stems from posts 126 and 127.

Weird, a few days ago it was the whistleblower that was the source of all of Donald's problems and it was vital to get him or her out in the open. Now the story's changing again. I keep wondering why it is so hard to get a straight story from the RNC side.

It's amazing that you can make a statement like that while ignoring Pelosi doing the same exact thing--unless there's a bias, of course.

Pelosi has been saying that Trump is a national security threat and that we can't just let the voters decide Trump's fate in November. She made it sound like it was SO important (and even required by the Constitution) that he be impeached that it just could not wait. And now, she waits and makes excuses.

I went back to #126. There were requests for you to support the claim you made. You refused even to the point of mocking people who can’t see the obvious.

Thank you for finally supporting your statements. Was it really that hard to do? You being cagey about offering proof makes it look like you are making stuff up and are trying to keep up the charade. It is really much easier just to be forth coming with the information you have. Thank you for finally supporting your statements.

That said, I don’t really see the article supporting your claim in #126 that the Pelosi’s talking point is constantly changing like the GOP’s. Pelosi switched gears on people by saying she is going to wait on delivering the articles of impeachment until she has assurances there is going to be an actual trial. That was one change and has stayed consistent since December 19 when she made the decision.

IMHO we need to take back the house to end this charade.

Thank you for the encouragement - There are 13 seats that are possible flips and ten of the 13 are in area's that Trump won.

If Republicans can flip all 13, plus take the all 4 vacant seats, plus get the independent to caucus with them...the Democrats would still hold 219 seats and have a majority.

Yes, and Clinton had enough support to win the election in 2016 and the election was hers to lose. Hint: The miraculous election of Trump in 2016 and the Republicans reclaiming the House is something that could very well happen later this year. The type of politics, and the "help" of the MSM that's going on now is an amplified version of the way things were in 2016. Expect the Republicans to be that much more inclined to vote.
