The decade of the 10s is coming to an end. What can you meditate on what TAW has been during this decade?

Ah TAW. The forum where reasonable people post reasonable questions and other reasonable people give reasonable answers that everyone agrees with.

The place is just so reasonable.

Except if you mention Ukraine and this month of December was a little dramatic here.

And some people just have to challenge the fact that there was clear consensus of the saints on marriage and sexuality. There was a lot less of that in the 2000’s...

I've been here for maybe a month, so I can't say. I do wonder if the internet will be a thing in 10 years - it's gotten very and simply lame in the last 4 years. Or maybe I won't be around for the next decade, lol.

Well, I am grateful for all my questions that were answered here about Orthodoxy in St. Basil’s, and I have found TAW to be generally one of the most welcoming boards on this site, and all of that in the last few years of this decade.

Unfortunately, as the most reasonable and most helpful person on this forum, I have been made to understand that some people disagree with me at times.

TAW has changed a little since I've been here and I've seen a good bit of the '10s - nothing before.

But mostly in that a lot of people who seemed to feature large in the community have left. I miss them. :( But I'm very glad for those who have remained, and we've gathered new members.

It seemed to me (as a neophyte) that TAW was composed mostly of more seasoned Orthodox.

There seemed to be a little less detailed theological discussion here back then - partly because a few people now seem to seek for much more detailed answers. And maybe we have more inquirers, catechumens, and newly Orthodox than there were before - which is surely a good thing.

There are certainly some lively debates at times LOL.

I think all communities who experience some flux in membership will change in various ways over time.
