Eph 2:8-9 we are saved by Grace through faith NOT OF WORKS.

The Bible never says to repent of your sins. It says multiple times to repent and turn to God, but never repent of your sins.

If i'm saved by faith and continue in sin am i still saved? If you say "yes", then you are labeled as an easy believest and are disregarding scriptures like 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 and Revelation 21:8 and Matthew 7:21-23

BUT

If you say "no" then you are saying that it takes faith and works to be saved which is completely unbiblical: Galatians 5:4 Ephesians 2:8-9 Romans 3:28

I propose that salvation can only be obtained when grace is given to you. FOR BY GRACE are we saved through faith. Once God gives you grace, you believe and you turn from your sins. Once one has received grace, they no longer want to sin, they want to obey God. Grace is overlooked in the Bible but you cant have faith or works without grace. Ephesians 2:10 2 Corinthians 12:9 Romans 6:14 Romans 11:6 Hebrews 4:16

So to sum it all up, you're a Calvinist who believes a person is regenerated before coming to believe in Christ.

You're not the first one to propose the idea, and you won't be the last.

Not yet im not a calvanist and if this is what they teach, then it seems biblical. Instead of name calling, lets work to an answer that we may be unified for the Glory of God.

Also, i never mentioned regeneration, i mentioned saved by GRACE. and no not before they are saved, when they are saved they become new 2 Corinthians 5:17

The problem with receiving grace PRIOR to having faith in Christ is that the Bible teaches that we rather access the grace God offers us through faith (Romans 5:1-2); this is different from receiving God's grace in order to believe, as you are suggesting. We come to faith by hearing the word of God, (Romans 10:17, "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God). As a result of this faith, we access God's grace and are justified and saved (Romans 10:9, Romans 3:24, Ephesians 2:8-9).

"Go and sin no more" is a primary exhortation for every saved person, but it is rather impossible to repent from sins generally. Some sins we can rid ourselves of through the power of the Spirit and diligence, but we will remain sinful for the rest of our days as a result of our unregenerate flesh. "He that is dead is freed from sin," as the Bible teaches.

The Bible uses grace many different ways though and needs to be discerned. Grace can either be a free gift of Salvation or it could be a characteristic. IN Eph 2:8-9 it says that we are saved by Grace through faith and that the grace is the free gift of God. when we walk in grace, that is a characteristic of moral goodness and kindness

I question your very premise. Since we are to repent, what do we repent of if not sin? “Be on your guard! If your brother sins, · rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. Lk 17:3

Moreover you cite Eph 2:8-9 but omit v.10 which cites works that we were created to do as a result of being saved by grace. Js 2:24 states that we are justified by works and not by faith alone.

Sure, I apologize about that. I get distracted by other things within an OP and often times forget to address the main question.

The main question is: "If i'm saved by faith and continue in sin am i still saved?"

Yes, the most clear statement for this doctrine is in John 5:24, which says, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."

Jesus says clearly the person that believes HAS (present tense) everlasting life, which defines itself as life that will never end; Christ further clarifies that the person shall not (future tense) come into condemnation, but has passed from death unto life, which is an absolute statement without condition. He doesn't say, "you have passed from death unto life except thou sin again," or anything of such like. The condition is: if you believe, you are given unending life and are saved without the possibility of being eternally condemned.

Easy believism isn't a-biblical; rather, it's very biblical. It's so easy to believe on Christ, that a child can do it. Christ likens receiving salvation to eating a piece of bread, or drinking a glass of water. It's supposed to be easy... that's the idea. It's easy because Christ made it possible that we can be saved. The gospel means good news, after all. It wouldn't be good news if salvation was difficult to receive or maintain.

To repent means to be persuaded concerning Christ; that is, to turn from unbelief to belief on Christ.

In the context of Lk 17:3 it refers to repentance from sins.
To be fair, "to repent" as a verb simply means to "turn from one thing unto something else." The context of what is being repented from depends on the sentence in which it is being used. Every time, repentance is being referred to in regards to salvation, it must mean a turning from unbelief to belief on the gospel as proven in Mark 1:15.

The context of being persuaded concerning Christ comes from Luke 16:29-31,

Luke 16:29 "Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead."

Here in these verses, to be persuaded concerning the testimony of the prophets (which we know testifies of Christ) is used interchangeably by Jesus as "repentance."

Just because the word "repent" appears in the Bible, it doesn't always mean "from sin."

False dilemma fallacy. One can repent of unbelief AND of sin.

Unbelief is sin, but is the chief sin of condemnation as proven by John 3:18 and John 3:36.

This is the only sin that needs to be repented of to be saved. All other repentance from sin is following the law and is therefore works.

Tell that to Ananias and Sapphira. Also feel free to take the mark of the beast.

They were killed, but it doesn't mean they went to hell... show me in scripture where it says Ananias and Sapphira were unsaved.

Another logical fallacy by you know as an argument from silence which is the weakest form of argumentation. If you read the passage, the fact is that great fear came upon the whole church as a result of their judgment/deaths. If they were unbelievers, fear would have not been the result from other believers. Their deaths warned the rest of the brethren not to lie to the Holy Spirit.
If you or anyone else takes the mark of the beast, do you go or anyone else go hell? Yes or No?

The Bible is clear that all who take the Mark of the Beast will suffer eternal damnation. The Bible also says that no one who is saved will take the Mark of the Beast.. so what's your point?

Just where does it say that? I highly suggest you read it. It says ANYONE who takes the mark which includes you and me; believers as well as unbelievers.

Matthew 24:24 "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

Mark 13:22 "For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect."

2 Thessalonians 2:8-12 "And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

These verses in 2 Thess. prove that it is those who perish that will be deceived by the AntiChrist and therefore, by extension, the mark of the beast. Meanwhile the verses in Mark and Matthew prove that, if it were possible (which its not), the elect would be deceived by the false Christ's etc. that will come in the end, up to and including the AntiChrist himself.

By the way, I'm not responding anymore on this particular subject concerning the Mark of the Beast because it's getting off-topic.
