Greetings to All:

This Mystery topic is dedicated to building a strong doctrinal foundation by carefully examining the differences between the Gospel of the Kingdom; and our Word of the Cross gospel message for today. God gathers members to the Kingdom Bride; (John 3:29) through the first gospel described below and members to the Mystery Body of Christ; through Paul’s Gospel #2 below.
--------------------------
This is NOT our gospel for today. Nobody has been saved by this Gospel message for almost 2000 years.
--------------------------
I. Gospel of the Kingdom (Matt. 4:23, 9:35, 24:14, Acts 8:12). Gospel to the Circumcised. Galatians 2:7.

1. The good news that the kingdom of heaven is at hand; (Matthew 3:2, Matthew 4:17, Matthew 10:7). i.e., preaching the kingdom; Acts 20:25.
2. According to Prophecy; seen by the OT Prophets. Isaiah 40:3, Malachi 3:1.
3. Obtain eternal life by keeping the commandments. Matthew 19:16-17.
4. Water baptism (during confession) for the forgiveness of sins; Mark 1:4, Acts 2:38. (John’s Baptism; Acts 19:3; name of the Father; John 1:6, 33, Matthew 28:19.)
5. Baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus; (Acts 8:16, Acts 19:5),name of the Son; (Matthew 28:19 = my CF.com Baptisms Thread)
6. Receive the Spirit through the baptism in the name of the Holy Spirit; (Matthew 28:19) through the laying of hands (Acts 8:17, Acts 19:6).
7. Justified by works and not by faith alone; James 2:20-24.
8. Kingdom disciples are under Mosaic Law (Matthew 5:18, James 2:10).
--------------------------
This is our gospel for today that many believe is the only gospel of the New Testament with inclusions from Gospel #1. This gospel message was revealed to Paul (Gal. 1:11+12) AFTER his conversion in Acts 9. Note that Christ preached the Gospel of God; in Mark 1:14-15, which is gospel #1 above.
--------------------------
II. Paul’s my gospel; (Romans 2:16, Romans 16:25, etc.). Gospel to the Uncircumcised. Galatians 2:7.

1. The Gospel of the Grace of God. Acts 20:24.
2. According to the revelation of the Mystery; NOT seen by the OT prophets. Romans 16:25.
3. Saved by God’s grace through faith APART from works. Ephesians 2:8-9.
4. Sins forgiven through the redemption IN Christ (Romans 3:24) and His shed blood (Ephesians 1:7).
5. Our one baptism (Ephesians 4:5) is done by the one Spirit; (Ephesians 4:4) into the one body; (1Corinthians 12:13), which is into Christ’s body; 1Corinthians 12:27.
6. We receive the Spirit when hearing (Romans 10:17*) and believing (Ephesians 1:13-14) Paul’s Gospel by hearing with faith; Galatians 3:2.
7. We are justified by faith apart from works. Romans 4:4-6.
8. We are under grace and not under law. Romans 6:14.

The two-gospels hypothesis says that God sent John the Baptist, Jesus Christ and the Twelve in three separate ministries to preach the “Gospel of the Kingdom” starting with John the Baptist who came first as Elijah (Matt. 11:14) to fulfill OT prophecy (Mal. 3:1+, 4:5-6). John the Baptist received the Holy Spirit while in his mother’s womb (Luke 1:15) by way of his father Zacharias who was chosen “by lot” (Luke 1:9) to go behind the second veil on the Day of Atonement. Jesus Christ took the Holy Spirit baton from John the Baptist in the Jordan River (Matt. 3:1+), when Christ began to “increase” and John “decreased.” John 3:29-30. Jesus Christ preached the “Gospel of the Kingdom” far and wide to pass the Holy Spirit (Helper) baton to the Disciples on the Day of Pentecost, after making the plan known, saying:

“But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me; and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.” John 16:7-11.
Prophecy Mystery Timeline for book.jpg

The left side of the color-coded Prophecy / Mystery Timeline finds “John the Baptist” (Elijah) stepping through the “Second Veil” that separates the Old Testament as the “Holy of Holies” of God’s Living Word. John preaches the Gospel of the Kingdom in the Father’s ministry followed by Jesus Christ doing the same thing under the Son’s ministry. Christ must leave to begin the Book of Acts (Acts 1:9-11), so that He could then send the Helper (Holy Spirit) back to begin preaching the “good news about the kingdom of God” (Acts 8:12) under the Ministry of the Holy Spirit. Israel allowed John the Baptist to die in prison (Matt. 14:10) and Israel demanded Christ’s crucifixion (Matt. 27:22-23), but Israel would murder Stephen (name means “Crown”) using their own hands (Acts 7:54-60) to commit the “transgression” (Rom. 11:11) that Christ warned about concerning the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit (Matt. 12:30-32).

The Apostle Paul (Saul) was raised up in response to Steven’s murder and saved by God’s grace through faith apart from works on the road to Damascus in Acts 9 to become a “chosen instrument of Mine” (Acts 9:15) to be given our gospel for today (Gospel of the Grace of God) via “a revelation of Jesus Christ:”

“For I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.” Galatians 1:11-12.

God tricked Satan into killing Jesus Christ by offering the “Gospel of the Kingdom” to Israel and Jesus Christ as the King. Satan stopped the kingdom from becoming a reality 2000 years ago, but God’s Plan all along kept hidden “in” Him was to raise Jesus Christ from the dead “and” us with Him part of the “Mystery of Christ” taught exclusively in the Pauline Epistles to the Gentiles. Do you see just one good news message preached in the New Testament, or do you see two? Good luck in the debate. Blessings, Terral

Hi TERRAL and in Gal 1:23 , we see 3 programs RUNNING at the same TIME !!

We know from Gal 1:23 that at that time , there were still LAW KEEPERS , 9 Gal 214 that Peter was still a LAW OF MOSES BELIEVER !!

And that means the LAW OF MOSES was still in effect as Acts 21:20 reveals to us !!

And Paul was preaching GRACE at this time , so there are 3 programs and 3 people RUNNING at the same TIME !!

My question to all is , so what , DEATH reigned from Adam to MOSES , so what gospel was preached THEN ??

I'm not going to try to keep up with Terral and his endless cut and paste material and endless supply of charts. I think I've seen his stuff for nearly 20 years. I was dispensational for over 40 years. I wasted a lot of time and misled many people with false teaching. When John Hagee said that Jesus did not come as the Messiah and Les Feldick said that the Church will be raptured and will remain for eternity on the new planet called the New Jerusalem, I was done with this nonsense.

Gen 3:21 And the LORD God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins and clothed them.

Right here in the first book of the Bible, we see the mention of the coming Savior/Reconciler who will be a permanent sin covering for all of mankind. God shows us Hiss Plan very early in the Scriptures!

The Bible is one book, with one message and one Savior. We're not saved by a people but by a Person, the Lord Jesus Christ. He did not fail His mission. God was not going to send messiahs until one was able to complete a mission. Jews and Gentiles are no more. They have become one in Christ. There are not multiple salvation processes. Only Christ's sacrifice was acceptable to the father. This was the Great Exchange! Man was cursed and man deserved punishment and ultimate death; but Christ took the curse and death upon Himself and exchanged it for righteousness which He has imputed to all who believe in His finished work on the cross.

The Mosaic Law - the 613 - only brought about condemnation and showed the Jews that they needed the mercy of God. God's ultimate mercy was shown to us by the sacrifice of His one and only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Isa 53:1 Who has believed what he has heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
Isa 53:2 For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him.
Isa 53:3 He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Isa 53:4 Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.
Isa 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned-every one-to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Isa 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth.
Isa 53:8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people?
Isa 53:9 And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth.
Isa 53:10 Yet it was the will of the LORD to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
Isa 53:11 Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities.
Isa 53:12 Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors.

This refers to Christ. Jews still believe it refers to them. The unbelieving Jews believe that they are the Suffering Servant.

Don't treat the Bible like it's a pirate map and you're looking for the secret to finding the buried treasure. Jesus has already revealed Himself and He offers life that is greater than any buried treasure the false teachers are promoting.

Can there be a DISPENSATION ANSWER ??

I say that there IS !! What say you ??

Just had to give you a list for salvation !!

Was it by :

If you put yourself in the shoes of an average Jew during that time in the OT, say in the era of the 4 gospels, how do you think you would have interpreted the OT then?

Would it be all that you have stated?

Hi and I see that you quoted Gen 3:21 and since you repudiate DISPSATIONALISM , can you present what Gen 3:21 really means ?

I'm not going to try to keep up with Terral and his endless cut and paste material and endless supply of charts. I think I've seen his stuff for nearly 20 years. I was dispensational for over 40 years. I wasted a lot of time and misled many people with false teaching. When John Hagee said that Jesus did not come as the Messiah and Les Feldick said that the Church will be raptured and will remain for eternity on the new planet called the New Jerusalem, I was done with this nonsense.
Thanks for saving us much time wasted. The op looked confusing at first read,
and noting that it has been so for 20 years, helps avoid it.

View attachment 267743

You are absolutely correct in that there are two gospels. during the first part of Jesus' life- He told the disciples to go out and preach the gospel of the Kingdom (repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand). This was the legitimate offer of the long promised and prophesied kingdom to Israel! the leadership rejected it in Matt. 12 by committing the unpardonable sin and Jesus withdrew the kingdom offer for a future generation.

The church preaches the gospel of grace (aka the gospel of salvation) that Jew and Gentile must trust in the death, and physical resurrection of Jesus for their sin.

During the 70th week of Daniel aka the Great Trib- the gospel of the kingdom with the gospel of grace added will also be preached once again!

For many it will be salvation but as Jesus said in the Olivet discourse- the proclamation fo the gospel of the kingdom before His return is for a witness against the peoples.

No as Paul taught in Galatians the law was only valid till faith came. Now that faith came Israel no longer needed the schoolmaster (the law). The dispensation of the Mystery was that jew and Gentile werein one body equally. But that is not the gospel- that brings Jew and Gentile into one body.

What Zechariah, John the Baptist father's announced in Luke 1 would be a clear explanation why Jesus's birth and first coming was very good news to the Jews.

Notice that Jews understanding of that good news from the OT did not depend on them understanding that Jesus had to die for their sins?

Luke 1 (NLT)
68 “Praise the Lord, the God of Israel,
because he has visited and redeemed his people.
69 He has sent us a mighty Savior[h]
from the royal line of his servant David,
70 just as he promised
through his holy prophets long ago.
71 Now we will be saved from our enemies
and from all who hate us.
72 He has been merciful to our ancestors
by remembering his sacred covenant—
73 the covenant he swore with an oath
to our ancestor Abraham.

Gospel is simply "good news"!

There are several "gospels" in the Bible. But the biggie is th egospel of salvation!

When Adam and Eve sinned their nakedness was revealed and God prepared for them animals skins to cover their nakedness.

The animal skins not only covered their physical bodies but also represented the blood of the animal as the sacrifice that covered their sin.

We also know that Cain and Abel were aware of this animal sacrifice that represented the coming Lamb of God. Cain brought forth a sacrifice of herbs from the field and was rejected, Abel brought forth the sacrifice of an animal and was accepted.

This carried through to the Law of Moses and up to the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. At this point there was no longer an animal sacrifice needed for sin because the sacrifice that the animal represented had come.

From the very beginning of man to this very day, faith in that sacrifice is what saved the soul of man.

There is only one gospel and there has never been but one gospel that brings the good news.

Scripture for the above claim in bold?

Scripture for the above claim in bold?
Heb. 11:4
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

How did Abel know to bring an animal to sacrifice before God? The Bible doesn't tell us.

But the Bible does tell us that he brought it and it was a witness that he was righteous.

Did Adam explain it, did God explain it? We don't know, but we know he knew what to do.

Yes, but where is your scripture that explains they "were aware of this animal sacrifice that represented the coming Lamb of God."

Do you believe that Abel knew to sacrifice an animal and not know why?

The scripture doesn't tell us how he knew, but we know that he did know exactly what to do.

The scripture doesn't tell us how he knew, but we know that he did know exactly what to do.

Simple, as you said, Adam learned from God that animal sacrifices is the God way of redeeming him from his disobedience, and taught it to the 2 kids.

As you correctly quoted from Hebrews, Abel obeyed God in faith, he believed that animal sacrifice is the correct way to approach God. And God accepted him because he offered a more excellent sacrifice than Cain.

That's all you can conclude from scripture.

If you want to believe that Abel also knew that God would send his Son later to redeem all mankind as the "Lamb of God", you are of course free to do so, but just recognize that you are reading into scripture.

Yes, I do assume, as you pointed out, that Abel did know the purpose of the sacrifice was to represent the coming Lamb of God.
