Sanders (who is not a Democrat) helped the Republicans win in 2016 and he's helping them again in 2020 by attacking the other candidates for not being Democratic enough.

The Democrats need to work together to defeat Trump.

Presidents should be impeached every single time they recruit foreign countries to interfere in our elections. That is the message the House wants to send and I think it’s a good one. Not one single person can justify Trump investigating the Bidens through Ukraine. And so now we know at the very least, that action will get you impeached by the House.

This is the farce. Trump never recruited anyone to interfere in the election. What Trump did was request a foreign leader to cooperate with his attorney general and members of the investigation team into possible corruption involving an American member of government. Which is his right to do so. The Democrats cannot say he has no right to do that. Because he does. So what's their answer? That particular person is immune to investigation simply because he happens to be running for office. But they cannot point to any law or provision that makes it a crime. What's their call? "Biden is a Democrat running for nomination for the Democrat party to be president, therefore he is immune to investigation for corruption!"

It's such a farce. Trump never said, dig up dirt on Biden or else. He never said they had to find bad things or corrupt things. He wanted them to cooperate with investigators as they looked into what Biden was involved in when he demanded the prosecutor be fired and withheld US aid until it happened.
It's a joke. And Americans see that. Unless you're a never Trumper.

No. The House has brought out the facts of the matter as testified to by the witnesses, and so the facts have been made publicly known, and it is on the basis of those facts--that the president abused the office of the presidency for personal gain--that he has been impeached.

By withholding something that had already been promised by Congress for the purpose of personal gain the president overstepped the powers of his office. So, no, that was not within his right to do.

Though I suspect there isn't much reason, currently, to have much faith in the GOP controlled Senate to do the job which they were elected to do in this instance. McConnell and Graham have both made it clear that they have absolutely zero interest in a legitimate trial, and have only partisan interests in mind.

Hopefully the states which elected them are properly paying attention to their senators' refusal to abide by the oath they swore when they took their office to uphold the Constitution.

You have to love those legitimate trials where the judge drives over the defendant's house to consult with him beforehand for how to conduct the trial.

FYI, these are what you call ex parte communications. i.e. communications between the judge and only one party, without the other being notified. They are almost never allowed in trial.

Yet no one could establish quid pro quo. No one. It's a farce. The Ukrainian president said there wasn't. No one heard Trump say it or demand it. Bah! I don't know why I even bother. They did it it's a done deal no matter how much of a farce it was. They couldn't prove a thing. They had no evidence.
