I rarely go to church these days and it has been over 2 years since I used to go to church every Sunday. I used to really love church but really put off with the hypocrisy, arrogance and judgmental behavior of many, many Christians out there. I am still hurt to this day due to this.

I am also so over the US vs them mentality of Christians, and seeing unbelievers, or people with different cultures as the enemy. I do not believe those that are not Christian, and being gay, atheist, liberals or Muslim are the enemy, or if they are a different race, they are inferior.

People who are gay did not choose their sexuality and if you asked them at one point in their life especially when growing up they wish they were straight, and I am sure many people out there have become atheists have became that way on the hypocrisy the judgmental behaviour of Christians they encounter. BTW Muslim people were born into the faith because their community and family are Muslims and a vast majority of Muslims are not terrorists.

Jesus loves not just Christians but all unbelievers. I am so sick of people of faith mock and condemn gays, atheists, Muslims and Liberals because they do not share their worldview. That is not showing love to them by mock or condemn people. I usually prefer my Sunday's not going to church. I of course read the bible every day, regularly pray and even listen to sermons on TV and online.

Is it wrong with that not wanting to go to church but still a Christian? Can you be a Christian and still not wanting to go to Church?

I run into all kinds of temperaments at my church. I pray for those I feel are not following the teachings of the Church. I'm Catholic, so we have to go to church for the sacraments.
I would just try a different church if things were that bad. I had to leave a church because it was not acting Christ-like. I'm happy with the church I go to now.

As long as you are having fellowship with other Christians "church" is not an issue.

I know those evils are very common, and in far too many churches. But having visited so many different churches now, I can testify to you that you can find other Christians that obey Christ and are not judgemental, and actually welcome the stranger, the other, whom they don't yet know, and love others instead of loving a few and judging the rest.

Because we get hurt should not mean we ought to become judgmental.

Unbelievers are not enemies they just are lost and in need of a Savior.
One is either born again and thus a child of God or he is lost.

Again whatever people are gives them no excuse for rejecting God's Son as a remedy for their sin as found in the Person and Work of Jesus Christ.

Jesus loved unbelievers in such a way that He died for their sins but if they die as unbelievers they will be separated from God forever.

Is it wrong not to love those who have given their hearts to Jesus?

Something wise my pastor said who was in such a church. It all starts with self examination. He said “maybe we are the problem.”

Given how much pent up animosity you have for others, perhaps conduct that self examination and find out that you are not so much better as all the other sinners in your church.

I suppose you can. But should you?

In almost every case where I hear these sentiments expressed, there actually is almost no reason for giving up. There is a church somewhere that meets almost all such demands, certainly in the case of the ones you listed. Seek it out.

A faithful church will not tolerate hypocrisy nor arrogance (at least without stern rebuke, warning, and ex-communication if the rebuke and warning isn't heeded). Judgmental behavior on the other hand is necessary in many cases. You yourself have judged that many Christians in churches are hypocritical, arrogant, and judgmental. Everyone makes judgments, but the judgments we make ought to align with God's Word, be just judgments, and be judgments that what we are striving to align our own lives with. I don't know what you've seen in church, but find another church if there is truly hypocrisy, arrogance, and/or (unjust, unbiblical) judgmental behavior BEING ACCEPTED at the church, especially by the leadership.

By your own words though your compass is off. God considers homosexuality a sin worthy of death and the Bible you read proves that beyond any doubt. People do have a choice in the matter; and when people choose in favor of it is a wicked choice. (How's that for judgmental? It's a judgment though that originates from God himself, so it's a good judgment). And though it is wrong to see individual Muslims as our enemies as a generalization, Islam as a whole is an enemy to the west. Muslims have been trying to conquer the west for over a millennium and now they are succeeding through immigration and reproducing in the countries they've immigrated to. Have you considered what happens when devout Muslims are the majority in a country? Even if you don't care about the gospel of Christ having freedom to go forth and convert people to Christianity, you should also fear Sharia law as a whole. You would be begging for even the most arrogant, hypocritical church membership as your fellow-citizens compared to having to live in a nation that is over 80 percent Muslim where Islam is actually put into practice and greatly affecting government policy. And it is a fact that if you want to defend gays you have to judge and condemn Islam yourself or be a hypocrite too. Two guys will not live long walking down the street holding hands in countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, or Yemen!

I'm dealing in facts and logic and I am not condoning mocking individuals or generalizing individuals, but I hope you are not confounding dealing in facts and logic with malice, scorn, victimizing individuals, etc. A faithful church will analyze facts and logically analyze them according to God's wisdom in the Bible while condemning personal enmity which is unjust and truly oppresses individuals (example: It is wrong to rail on a Muslim man and call him a terrorist without just cause, but it still must be acknowledged from analyzing the facts that Islam is a false religion which historically has fostered terrorism. Even if the man is truly a terrorist one should call the authorities and let the authorities deal with him without taking vengeance into their own hands, which would include insults, railings, etc).

So with that said, yes, you do need TO WANT to go to church. That is a necessary part of being a follower of Christ or a Christian. To choose to love him means to choose to love His Word, His people, and the program He has made to prepare Himself a holy, faithful bride. You cannot have an interest in Christ while having no heart for the arrangement He has made to train His people and to represent Himself to the world through His people. It's not always possible to find a faithful church, but we need to do the best we can to do so- and be as faithful as we can to His Word in everything whether we can find a faithful church or not. In your case you have a lot of ways in which you need to repent and align with God's Word, the church issue being one of them.

Fellowship with other believers is important for our spiritual growth, but not a requirement for faith. That said it seems as though your focus is largely on a lot of cultural, even political things. My advice would be to put your focus on Jesus and your own personal growth and not your frustration with these cultural/political things. You'll find as you focus on Him you will eventually get greater revelation and peace about these things that are frustrating you. And that is going to be more likely and happen more quickly in the presence of fellow believers.

Well when Jesus encountered the Samaratian woman at the wellshe was an ouctasst in her society and then living with a man she was not married to, and she belonging to aa people that is dispised by the Jews of the day. That Samartain woman of today could be a gay person who wa sdisowned by their higly devout Christia parents or a Muslim refugee. He did not condemn or judge her, bt use that occasion to gently guide her to him.

Meanwhile if you do not like Muslim refugees coming to your countries then stop bombing the hell out of them(eg Iraq). BTW even though Saddam of Iraq was a tyrant, at least the condtions for IRaqi Christians was better than it is today. Sinc the US lead invasion a majority of Christians have fled, as extremist Islamic groups have given fruit in IRaq, which were supressed during Saddam regime.

Jesus never told the woman, nor Muslims, that they should continue living apart from Yahuweh , nor that they should continue sinning as they had lived in sin before. The same Gospel Message, the same way to life and to freedom and to eternal life, as the true church espouses/ teaches/ preaches and lives every day...

Rather, "go and sin no more". Be Redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb. Be forgiven.

I have prayed and will continue to pray for the Chrisitans that have hurt me. Yet I readly do not want to be a member of any church anymore. Yet I can at least find fellowship with Christians outside the church.

Our human tendency is to judge others because of stereotypes, customs, or prejudices. Jesus treats people as individuals, accepting them with love and compassion.

Yes you can love them even though they have a different worldview, culture, faith as you and have empathy for them too. Sadly many Chrisitans out there do the opposite.

Is it wrong with that not wanting to go to church but still a Christian? Can you be a Christian and still not wanting to go to Church?

Hello Pope. I was out of church for a year in 2008 due to some bad experiences. When I found a church (the last I expected) I came with a new attitude. It's not all about what I could get out of it, but what I could do to serve the Kingdom of God and to help others. In humility putting the needs of others above our own. Of course there will always be bad experiences, some churchgoers are sheep, some are wolves in sheep's clothing, but there is always someone worse off than you, someone only you can reach, someone only you can help. Serve the Lord with gladness. Going with a new attitude you can get so much more out of it. God Bless :)
