A video of a leading prelate has emerged, showing the Cardinal participating in a ceremony honoring two pagan gods.

Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi of the Pontifical Council for Culture was filmed walking around a blanket as part of a noisy procession honoring Pachamama, a fertility goddess, and Tata Inti, Father Sun, in the so-called "hippy town" of San Marcos Sierras in the Córdoba province of Argentina. During the ceremony, a shaman describes what is on the blanket.

Leftists, and others who hate the Catholic Church are trying to turn this into "Is the Church going pagan?" kind of thing. News from the Vatican confirms the truth. Pope Francis has no desire to go pagan and participation in pagan, meaning indigenous ceremonies, is like any participation in say, Native American ceremonies. Last I checked, the Church wants people to be Catholic not pagan - as always.

The problem with Catholicism in the Amazon appears to be that they are still waiting for authentic Catholic missionaries. I was discussing this last night at church and we wondered what could be done with 100 actual authentic Catholics who were intent on doing like the Jesuits did 400 years ago.

Dear, the people he apologized to were the idol worshippers. Even if he were apologizing to others,he should not have had them recovered from the Tiber. They're idols! Whether or not his intentions were idolatrous, the sanctuary has been profaned.

He should have been apologizing for the idolatry. Not that the idols were thrown into the Tiber. But he apologized that Pachamama was thrown into the river. He should have thrown her in himself.

I read a book about a reporter who went to a small community in Alabama to study their 'snake handling' religion. He became brainwashed and refused to return to NYC. The Pope and others open themselves up for this kind of situation when they participate in 'rituals'. What they view as a harmless situation can turn on them, like it did on this reporter.
