Trump's pullout from Syria allowed ISIS to gain strength, intel agency reports
President Donald Trump's order to withdraw troops from northern Syria, combined with Turkey's assault against Kurdish forces, allowed the Islamic State to strengthen its position there, the Pentagon's inspector general said in a new report released on Tuesday.

The withdrawal and incursion allowed ISIS to "reconstitute capabilities and resources within Syria and strengthen its ability to plan attacks abroad," the quarterly report from the lead inspector general on the U.S. military campaign against ISIS stated. The report cited information from the Defense Intelligence Agency.
Man...who would have thought stabbing an ally in the back would lead to anything bad happening?

I remember how a gal on here @Stanfordella talked about how exactly this would surely happen, back when Donald made the foolish decision. One of her profs is the former presidential envoy to combat ISIS, from what she's said he's said it was clear as day this would happen.

Except it hasn't happened. The ISIS caliphate is still gone. The US didn't destroy it, and the absence of the US won't bring it back.
I have a link in the OP to support what I said. Do you have something to support what you said?

Do you? Did you actually read the entire 116-page report you linked to you, or are you just going by the press is reporting about "capabilities" i.e., what it's authors think ISIS could do in the future?

Do you have something to support what you said?

The red is government controlled territory. The yellow is controlled by Kurdish militias. The green is either controlled by the FSA and other Syrian rebel groups or occupied by the Turkish army. The gray was the ISIS caliphate, when it existed. As you can see, it is no more.

Once that green area in the northwest (Idlib) gets cleaned up, the Syrian Civil War will be, for all practical purposes, over. Assad will not tolerate US troops in his territory indefinitely...

So...your support for your post is a map? I mean, it's a nice map and all, really colorful and everything. But as support that ISIS isn't rebuilding in the wake of the US betrayal it doesn't really carry much useful information does it? I mean the caliphate didn't exist before, right? What's to stop it from being made all over again? Particularly now that everyone in the regions knows without a shadow of a doubt that as long as President Trump is President no one can count on the US not to stab them in back.

Assad. If he needs any help, Putin can provide it. US intervention is not needed, in fact it only ever made things worse.

It's also imperative to be aware that massive attacks persist against the Kurds in northern Syria, our allies who had given their trust to us and earned our trust. There is no ceasefire.

Each day intensifies the extreme anguish and hardship inflicted upon the people, including infants and children - the innocent and the vulnerable. Families lost their homes, their stability, their loved ones, their sense of hope. The increasing cold now exacerbates their suffering. UNICEF's Top Syria Official: 'We Have Witnessed Huge Amounts Of Distress' Among Kids

Fox News actually has a terrific National Security Correspondent, Jennifer Griffin, who has chronicled how distraught and ashamed American soldiers and military officials have felt as they've borne witness to the nonsensical cruelty of our country's betrayal of the Kurds, a choice that they did not personally make and do not support, but yet they must follow orders.

Senior U.S. officials keep trying to clean this up, claiming U.S. troops are really staying in Syria due to ISIS, but the troops are there on Trump’s orders, guarding oil, giving priority to ever drop of it over the human blood of our allies. Meanwhile Russia has taken claim to airstrips the U.S. built, delighting in Trump's generous gift to Putin and Erdogan.

And of course the shambolic, unconsidered decision enabled ISIS to gain strength. I'm currently taking a course taught by Brett McGurk, who stated this last month: Brett McGurk warns that ISIS threats are likely to reemerge

Yes, he did indeed. He, along with General Mattis, resigned last year due to Donald Trump's catastrophically stupid decision then to withdraw troops, in an almost barbarically whimsical manner from Syria last year.
