I am troubled greatly by the responses here.
Folks would actually physically eat Jesus?
Come on now.
You really cannot mean that.
That is ridiculous.
Jesus says that He is our friend.
Do you eat your friends?
Really?
I don't think you can make lasting friends or relationships if you were to do that.

Many Christians, I dare say the majority once you figure all the Traditional Christians together consume Christ each Sunday at their respective Mass. Not symbolic but Christ Real Presence enters the elements and we take Christ into ourselves.

If true, wouldn't that make any who consumed it cannibalistic vampires at heart? Knowing that Jesus spoke metaphorically when he told believers to use the bread and cup as a memorial of him?

“And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.” 1 Corinthians 11:24–25 (KJV 1900)
I'm not sure that Yeshua made this clear however.....

Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”

Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.

On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?”

Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, “Does this offend you? Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before! The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him. He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.”

From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him. John 6

Clearly there were those who did not want to follow a cannibalistic vampire.

While Scripture can be and is argued from various and conflicting positions, the ancient churches always understood John 6 in terms of eating the body and blood of our Lord, as He put it.

there is a chunk of raw flesh and a glass of blood in front of you. You are given documentation authenticating it as Christ's actual flesh and Christ's actual blood and given permission that you may do as you wish with them. What do you do?

Is your question coming from your reading of John 6? 47 Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. 50 But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” 52 Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” 53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. 57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” 59 He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.

Here Jesus is speaking figuratively about his body and blood in contrast with the manna, which was God's literal food for the desert-wandering Israelites. He is spiritual Food for us who follow him. In fact, all of the "I am" claims of Jesus identify himself with God the Father as one God with him. They are figurative claims pointing to real spiritual reality.

Therefore, to answer your question, Jesus doesn't call us to eat his physical flesh and drink his real blood. He wants us to "feed" on his Word, the Bible, since he is the Word become flesh, who feeds us through his Word, the Bible.

This is one of the speculative interpretations of John 6.

I would know that the document is fraudulent, not take part in the ritual and report it to the authorities.

This is one of the speculative interpretations of John 6.

I find that speculation occurs in those that are like the ones in that verse, not able to accept what Christ really taught.

There is only one major denomination which takes that approach and it doesn't stipulate that what is consumed is raw flesh, etc. So to answer the question, I would have to say this is unanswerable since it is based upon a false premise.
Isn't there many? Orthodox, Catholic, Oriental Orthodox, some Anglicans, some Lutherans ... of course none of them think that the bread and the wine are human flesh and human blood in clean and obvious visible and tactile form.

I don't have to consume Christ physically in order to be given life by him spiritually. I have life in Christ through trust in him as my Saviour and Lord, as Scripture teaches, not through some mysterious regular ingestion of him via a religious ritual. So, what point would there be in eating chunks of Christ's flesh and drinking his blood? It would not aid me one bit spiritually and would certainly make me ill physically.

Exactly. Seems to me the thread is an effort to put down Traditional Christians who believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the most Holy Eucharist

Is such a question actually coming from a real "born again" Christian???? I suspect it is taking the Words of the Lord Jesus in typology and trying to make it literal to prove some point one wishes to make ---thus not a good illustration.

We can do a chemical analysis to see that is true or not.

Besides, eating human meat causes the risk of diseases.

I wasn't talking about meat and I am sure you knew it. There was no ambiguity in my post

So then the bread does not change into His actual physical flesh then within the Lord's supper? I agree.

Did I ever say that!

You said, "Traditional Christians together consume Christ each Sunday at their respective Mass. Not symbolic but Christ Real Presence enters the elements and we take Christ into ourselves."

This implies the Transubstantiation or solid food. But if you are not referring to that process, or solid food, then you are not consuming Christ because you cannot consume a spirit being. You can only consume and digest solid food in your stomach and then poop out any excess remains from that food.
