Faith without works is dead. James 2:26.

Leaving aside the faith vs. works debate, this is not really a good portrait of world religion. Islam and Judaism are legalistic in a way that Christianity is not, so you could say that they require "Do's", but many Asian religions are much more therapeutic in nature. I don't think even most forms of Hinduism require quite the same sort of accountability in the face of God that Christianity does, so it's not really a valid comparison.

Of course I understand the gist of the meme - salvation is a free gift rather than an earned reward - but there is also a "do" in addition to the "done" (as I'm sure you know too).

Luke 9:23 KJV
"And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me."
Bible Gateway passage: Luke 9:23 - King James Version

You will be judged according to your works, not to works of Jesus.
Ephesians 2:8-10 King James Version (KJV)
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Ironically, you can even find the Taoist notion of wu wei (non-doing) in the East, which is almost certainly less "works" than the most stringent Lutheran sola fide.

Jesus said, to you and me:

24“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
Matthew 7 ESV

Unless we want that terrible outcome He says in verse 27....we'd better start hearing and doing as He said to us to do.

It's just like verse 10 in Ephesians 2:8-10. Our doing doesn't save us, but we are to do anyway, as God intends us to do.

Matthew 25:31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give youprison and you did not look after me.’ 44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ 45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ 46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not unto one of these least, ye did it not unto me. 46 And these shall go away into eternal punishment: but the righteous into eternal life.

Christianity has all sorts of rules for getting into heaven, you're supposed to keep his commandments if you love Jesus.

Plus this is especially rich coming from JW, the religion that bans holidays, birthdays, and blood transfusions on pain of total shunning and excommunication.

Heck, personally, I'm at the point where I
feel more comfortable honoring/venerating
(not really 'worshiping') someone who I
*know* exists but who has since leveled-
up to the higher realms than I am a
concept of a deity that may or may not
even actually exist.

This is a relatively recent thing for me. It
just suddenly dawned on me that, in the
process of being completely overtaken in
love with one of God's creations, whose
existence could be proven, it's actually
less presumptuous of me to uphold that
person in reverence than it is some
haphazardly thrown-together ideal of
divinity that has only myth, legend, and
musty old texts for its foundation at this
point. But this (lower?) form of
adoration/love is producing in me the
same fruits that are said to come from
being indwelt by the Holy Spirit. Go figure.
Something's at work, here, that I just
haven't figured out yet.

That said, I will admit I really miss being
actively in love with God in His Krishnaic
aspect. If I could get myself back to that
point, it would be just swell. But I guess
it's not in the cards at the moment.
