I used to randomly hear people speaking in foreign language speaking in English.

And they're not actually speaking in English because some are from movies and I replay the movie and they're actually speaking in a foreign language.

And now I'm hearing voices in thunder too, during a thunderstorm.

It's a deep, roaring voice, but the words are very very clear. It only keeps saying a few things. "Wake up", "what are you doing?", "who are you?".

There's a strong sense of urgency in the voice.

I've had very vivid dreams before that and I'm meeting a man telling me to "wake up", "you're only living a dream". Those dreams are seamlessly continuous, like the next time I sleep, I would see the man again and remind of the things he said to me in the previous dreams and then shows me new things.

God's communication with mankind is the Bible. If we want to know what God is saying to us, we read the Bible - not voices in thunder or anywhere else.

I have come to believe that any form of spiritual communication outside of what we read and believe in the Bible comes from the world, flesh or the occult.

I know that many will argue that they hear from God through voices, dreams, and other sources outside of the Bible; but that is the deception that is invading the church, especially the Charismatic movement.

God has given us the Bible for us to read, study, meditate on, listen to good, sound Biblical doctrine. The Scripture says that people will not endure sound doctrine (from the Bible) and will heap up to themselves teachers, having itchy ears to hear perverse things.

I always hear the door knock when I'm sleeping and it wakes me up, but no one is at my door. And it's loud enough to jolt me awake :)

Somehow, there seems to be something more to it. When was a lot younger (I was 12) when I first encountered it, it told me to "set yourself apart from them" "come to me".

"them" meant those who are worldly. That one is actually biblical - John 15:19.

That encounter is what led me directly to Christianity and became a Pentecostal Christian one year later.

If we want to know what God is saying to us, we read the Bible - not voices in thunder or anywhere else.

"If my disciples keep silent, the stones will cry out" - Luke 19:40

John 16:13
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

Somehow, the messages are Biblical as well.

I'm being side-tracked at the time (allowing myself to be distracted by worldly things). When the Bible says in 1 John 2:15-17, do not love the world or anything in this world.

a man telling me to "wake up", "you're only living a dream".

Jesus often said things like our world isn't "real" or of any worth. Things about "true riches". Matters of the flesh being worthless.

And everyone else being "dead". "Let the dead, bury their dead..."

I was "dying" at that time - allowing myself to be distracted by things that bring spiritual death.

God has given us the Bible for us to read, study, meditate on, listen to good, sound Biblical doctrine. The Scripture says that people will not endure sound doctrine (from the Bible) and will heap up to themselves teachers, having itchy ears to hear perverse things.

The messages I have received so far from the thunder are all Biblical.

Why is that? Doesn't God sometimes communicate directly with God's people?

Wasn't an angel delivered John's prophecies in the Revelation after Jesus had left? John and the Jews already have their "Bible" or scriptures at that time..... Revelation was added later in our Canon. Was John deceived?

Why do you seem to deny these things when these things are prophesied.....Ironically, you read that in the Bible as well. It just don't happen very often as prophesied, only few will find the way which leads to life. Many will have a form of "Godliness" but denying the power of God.
