This thread This isn't the only article I found where John Paul Pope the II is in hell. If Hell can capture him, it can capture anyone. I also found another where Selena is in Hell, but doesn't show what she did. I feel like I'm doomed because it captured a pope. I feel like my odds are 1 in a billion because of that.

My friend, Saint Pope John Paul II the Great is not in Hell. He is in Heaven.

If you love Christ and follow Him, and obey Him, with His help, you will go to Heaven. Trust in Christ, climb the latter, keep relying on His mercy.

Um... It is none of our business how God judges others. Jesus even said "ye judge after the flesh; I judge no one. (John 8:15). To paraphrase Him here and in other places in John, He is basically saying only the Father can judge another. I could, but I leave it up to Him. He speaks about this in great detail in John 5:19 - 34.

This might be a total side-bar, but we see this play out to an extent in John 21, when Jesus foreshadows how Peter will die, Peter points to John and asks Jesus, "What shall this man do?" and Jesus answers him: "If I will it that he tarry (live) until I return, what is that to you? You follow me." John 21: 17-22

I've heard of this. This is anecdotal at best and downright bullspit at worst. If you had a near death experience, that's a gold, platinum, and kryptonite opportunity to make up whatever you saw and achieve fame and fortune for it.

Here's one story about a boy who claimed to saw Heaven and wrote a book about it only to later admit it was a hoax:

‘The Boy Who Came Back From Heaven’ Admits That He Didn’t Actually Die And Go To Heaven

Here's a video at a Synagogue where a teenage boy claimed to have died, went to Heaven, and learned that the Gog & Magog War described in Ezekiel 38 and 39 would happen within months with Barack Obama as Gog. It's been years now and it still hasn't happened.

The point is, be careful who you listen to and use discernment because there are people out there with less than honorable agendas. Some want money and attention while others may be so extreme in their faith that they believe the ends justify the means.

I used to believe a lot of these but as soon as they had a book to sell, I turned the other way. I can't remember the scripture but I know somewhere it says how nobody has ever seen or heard what heaven is like or the things that God has prepared for those that love Him.

My friend, the first link is to an article about a woman who said she had an experience of visiting the afterlife and seeing who was where. That's nothing to base you convictions on.

You'll torment yourself for nothing if you believe everything that you find online.

1 Corinthians 2:9

New International Version
However, as it is written: "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" -- the things God has prepared for those who love him--

Isaiah 64:4

For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

I do not follow Catholicism for personal and Biblical revelations, I follow the Holy Spirit and allow Him to teach and guide me in Christianity. That being said, I do not know these people and articles (especially nowadays) are not infallible, so I will not condemn anyone.

To answer your question, yes, it is impossible to enter into heaven on our own strength. It is and only is Jesus Christ Who brings us into heaven by His blood and the hope of His resurrection. He had already done the work for us, for our sake, because we alone cannot do so. If that were so, we wouldn't ever need God. Genesis, before the fall of man, even then Adam needed God to teach him things - as well as after the fall of Adam and Eve. We desperately need God.

His grace is sufficient ...

1st Timothy 1

God’s Grace to Paul

12I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, that He considered me faithful and appointed me to service. 13I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and a violent man; yet because I had acted in ignorance and unbelief, I was shown mercy. 14And the grace of our Lord overflowed to me, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

15This is a trustworthy saying, worthy of full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the worst. 16But for this very reason I was shown mercy, so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His perfect patience as an example to those who would believe in Him for eternal life. 17Now to the King eternal, immortal, and invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

18Timothy, my child, I entrust you with this command in keeping with the previous prophecies about you, so that by them you may fight the good fight, 19holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and thereby shipwrecked their faith. 20Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme.

May He strengthen His faith and love in you. In Jesus name ... Amen.

Dear AppleGold,

Salvation (going to Heaven) isn't dependent on what any article, thread or website says, unless they are saying what the Bible says. Salvation is only based on what the Bible says. So, what does the Bible say about salvation/going to Heaven:

1) Realize that you’re are a sinner. (Romans 3:23, 5:12; 1 John 1:10)

2) Change your mind about Jesus (repent).
  • Jesus said: “…unless you repent (have a change of mind that results in a change of action), you will all perish and be lost eternally. (Luke 13:5)
  • …now God charges all people everywhere to repent. (Acts 17:30)

3) Believe the Gospel, that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried and rose from the dead.
  • We are made right in God’s sight when we trust in Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in the same way, no matter who we are or what we have done. For God sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to satisfy God’s anger against us. We are made right with God when we believe that Jesus shed His blood, sacrificing His Life for us. (Romans 3:22, 25)
  • For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

4) Go to God in prayer, confessing Jesus as Lord and your need for forgiveness of your sins. Give your life to Jesus, making Him the Lord of your life.
  • For it is believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. (Romans 10:10)
  • For anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.(Romans 10:13)
This is what the Bible says about salvation/going to Heaven. If you do/follow what the Bible says, then you will go to heaven.

Okay, I'm confused, this says that as long as I believe in Jesus, realized I'm a sinner, confess my sins and say that Jesus is lord I'm saved.
So I can sleep with other peoples wives and rob banks for the rest of my life, but it would be okay for me to tell myself it is okay as long as I believe in Jesus cause I'm saved. Like I rob a bank and have plans to immediately confess the sin after I do it. Or I sleep with somebody's wife have plans to immediately confess the sin after I do it, I'm still saved?

Hi Selena,

I would assume that you have been watching some YouTube about hell, or something similar. Places like YouTube often are littered with peoples opinions, some times these opinions, or visions, are not true. You need to look to the bible for your revelation not places like YouTube.

The bible tells us there is a hell, and we must try hard to enter it. But the fact is that while we have faith in Jesus, in his death and resurrection on the cross, we are saved. The bible tells us "there is no fear in love, that perfect love casts out fear". This tells us that when we know God fully, and we realize His love for us, we will have no fear of hell.

Spend more time reading the bible than watching YouTube. It will give you a picture of God's character. Jesus showed Himself as very forgiving, and merciful.

The bible tells us that God corrects our sins. He does not allow us to live in them. We are saved by grace, the unconditional forgiveness of God. But Jesus is not a teacher of sin. The bible says that the one who knows God will not sin, but will keep them selves from sin. A person can't just go around committing adultery and plan to ask for forgiveness. God will forgive if the person genuinely repents, i.e. turns from sin. But you can not live in rebellious sins.

Oh, my name isn't Selena, I put her name next to the link cause it shows her name in the link. Also, in the bold, I think you meant to say, but we must try hard to enter heaven. Yes, I've been watching youtube, some of these christian youtubers have like 100s of videos and tell us things we should and shouldn't do.

The bible tells us that God corrects our sins. He does not allow us to live in them. We are saved by grace, the unconditional forgiveness of God. But Jesus is not a teacher of sin. Okay, that makes sense.
