Not sure really. I've also been communicated with on 4 occasions in ~50 years and filled with massive amounts of peace, love.
If nothing else these experiences fortify our faith, hope, and love-and God grants them for His purposes in any case.

I've had several of those 'mountain top' experiences replete with synchronous coincidences obviously preordained to the point where I'll never doubt His existence. I think I heard His voice, or a voice once, telling me to 'call Greg now!" George was a new employee at the company I was working at who was also a pastor of his church. I called him at the exact moment that his company car broke down It was right at quitting time on a Friday and he was in the middle of nowhere. I was able to coordinate getting him a tow and getting a rental car company to pick him up at the scene right before closing time. That 'call Greg now!' was a direct order.

If I am understanding your post correctly, yes God has given me a very personal revelation of where He was guiding me. When I received it I knew it wasn't like anything I had ever experienced before, but I didn't know what it meant. Much like Daniel, I had to ask Him for the meaning - which came at the appointed time.

what you're asking for is proof of God. Jesus told Peter "this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven" if you haven't received a personal revelation from God then your asking the wrong place, cause everyone here is merely flesh and blood.

Thank you. I was mainly wondering if you were speaking of outward proofs, miracles that may be apparent to others. But your experiences are consistent with the testimonies of many, many others down through the centuries. It was proven to yourself in ineffable ways, that only you can know. It generally works that way.
Thank you. Yes, many of the miracles the prophets in the Bible saw also were only proven to others after others saw what they were told by them came true. And many of those things still have not come true, yet are accepted by a great many people because those experiences are in scripture. But proving my experience and asking others to prove theirs was not the purpose of this thread. I asked instead for them to share theirs. They will know if God proved he communicated.

I first learned scripture as a member of a religion that taught God no longer contacts people today, due to their mistaken interpretation 1Corinthians 13:10. Therefore, I didn't believe God contacted people today until he contacted me. Prior to that I was even skeptical of stories I heard about modern day demonic activity experienced by humans today, even though my previous church organization taught that still happens.

However, after I was contacted by God I did learn, and it was only from experience, that God still does contact people in our day, just as he did throughout biblical history. That is something difficult for people to accept if they've had no such experience. Prior to mine I was a person that believed some person sharing such a story read something into an experience they had that wasn't really accurate. I wouldn't doubt their honesty. I'd doubt their judgment to the point of non-belief. But yes, GOD DOES CONTACT PEOPLE IN OUR DAY. That's a fact. And thank you for your response.

I would say it was ineffable because how can you describe every minute detail from any experience we have? Even if I told you details about dozens of the things I saw and felt, you would miss the minute details. But I still remember each detail after 10 and even 15 years. Now I know the biblical experiences the prophets recorded are vague sketches of what they actually experienced. Because God communicates by actually taking his recipients to what he wants them to see, and shows it to them through a living experience. In that way God communicates much more effectively than we can.

There are no such miracles today, per 1Corinthians 13:10, my old church teaches. But I say there are.

I once asked a woman soliciting donations for the pastor of a large Christian radio ministry, if that pastor had ever been personally contacted by God. The pastor's name I won't give out, but he is so famous most of you have heard of him. She, the pastor's fund raiser, got rather defensive, and said she didn't know if he had been or not, and she continued she would never ask him that question. I asked, why not? I cannot remember her answer; but I do remember I took her demeanor when responding to my question as being contrary to how people who wrote the Bible felt about the subject. If authors of scripture shared her point of view we wouldn't have scripture. They would have considered it inappropriate to share their stories.

That opinion of hers no doubt is shared by some Christians, but I know not all. Because some have shared their experiences with me, some personal, others they heard about from relatives.

The type of godly experiences I'm asking for are those contacts that give undeniable proofs to the recipient their revelation was from God or one of his spiritual messengers. The only way one could know for sure would be if godly manifestations were present, evidenced through miracles. When God contacts people he makes it extremely clear to them that there could be nothing that could have been merely coincidental, or imagined because of a medical deficiency in the recipient. How could one know? Look into scripture. God always furnishes undeniable proofs to his recipients of such messages.

Thank you in advance for your responses. And if you wonder. I have had such experiences myself. In the past.
When my brother was a kid, he had severe emetaphobia. He wouldn't eat because he was terrified of vomiting. He got really skinny and was constantly afraid, became ocd, and the fear spread to being germophobic. My parents didn't know what to do because of how bad his anxiety was, and prayed for help.

One day my family went to see a play depicting the Passion. Afterwards they got an opportunity to meet the actors and so they went to meet the actor playing Peter. As they approached him, the man said "Here is John, who has nothing to fear." (He was speaking to my brother whose name is is John). They had never met this man in their life. After getting to know him he told then that he lived in the Hermitage in that town. My brother has never forgot his words.

No you wrongly interpret my words. I never asked anyone to prove God exists or even prove to me their own experience was from God. And I don't feel I am asking in the wrong place because I am asking people who should have read about thousands of such occurrences, in a book they profess to believe. Every one of those people sharing similar experiences, recorded in the book even you probably profess to believe, were also flesh and blood. Just like commenters on this site sharing similar experiences.

I don't understand your argument, because it seems to suggest either these people on this site are different than people who lived in days from Adam til the apostle John died, and/or suggest the Bible is full of false stories. Or that God for some unexplained reason by you does and maybe cannot do what he did throughout the thousands of years of biblical history. I find it very interesting when I find people who claim God cannot do something today. Because God does whatever he wants whenever he wants.

As I stated I have received personal revelations from God. The nature of the request I made was in asking others who have had that experience to share it, not to prove it. It's up to you if you want to believe these stories. I only asked for others to share them. I never asked anyone to prove anything to you, nor did I ask you to believe. God is the one that proves what he wants to prove about himself to those he chooses to prove those things to. That should be evident from reading this site, since there are even disagreements and opposing arguments over extremely clear scriptural language. Therefore, you shouldn't expect I think any one of our contributors to this particular thread can prove their experience is from God to their readers. Some might believe, my guess is most won't.That's why I didn't ask them to even attempt to do persuade others. If you believe someone, it's because you'll make your own judgment to do so. So let others make theirs.

I know I'm not lying, and I know God contacts people today. Just as he has throughout the whole biblical record. That's a fact. There are people living today that God has shown through miraculous revelations that they will exist as beings that can traverse back and forth between the dimensions where God lives- those dimensions specifically unseen by humans, for God lives in every dimension- and the limited dimensions humans live in-where they will be seen by humans in the New World. And they were shown they will live forever. God showed them. It was not just something they previously read in a book and believed. They saw it.

Thank you very much for sharing that experience with us MournfulWatcher. I was shown in the New World we will remember our experiences that are ever so painful now, but then we will view them as just experiences with absolutely no pain attached to the memories. And we will be totally content. I hope to meet you in the New World or in heaven. May God be with you until that day.

Historically the church has a rich history of these experiences or revelations. And another reason that they're ineffable is because of the content itself which often cannot be put into human words or concepts. There's just nothing in ordinary experience that they can be related to without doing them diservice. But they're often meant to be shared as best as the person can. Discretion is called for though as acceptance isn't always forthcoming.

Thank you Swan 7.
When I received my first revelation I didn't know why. I didn't know why I was shown that even while experiencing the reality of living through it. I first thought who am I? And why would God tell that or anything else to me as I am no biblical prophet, and I am not influencing a nation of people? So, you not learning God's reason until later might be quite common.

I used to have a Bible study with this neighbor that lives about a mile from me. And I'd sometimes take members of my church to join in on the study with this fellow. He had so many notes he'd taken from his Bible reading that his notes were the size of his Bible. One day when just he and I were there he brought up that he recognized there was something different about me. I asked him what? and his answer was that I was different than the church members I'd sometimes bring along.

Because of his inquiry I told him about my dreams and the vision. He said he had similar experiences and that he'd met just one or two other people in his life like us. He said it took him a while to figure out why he had his experiences. The first one revealed a future he already experienced involving his wife's death, and the others were involving a future he saw off in the distance, and considered those to be a calling from God, an invitation for him to accept God's calling to be a member of God's elect. And he said it took him a while to understand that. Yours might be similar.

Thank you for sharing Swan7

Thank you so much for sharing LoveofTruth. It's really beautiful that so many like you are not afraid to share their experiences. I have never heard so many experiences like these before. Thanks again.

What we know is that GOD EXISTS!!! And he furnishes proof. I first started commenting on the web while commenting on a social media website about five years ago. On that other site some were Christians, but many were atheists, and some of them hated God and hated the Bible. I stayed there for years to counter their false claims against God, and I was surprised to see the other Christians would never speak up for God when his haters spoke of him as evil and cruel. Hypocrites they were, because they didn't even believe God exists; and everyone knows it's impossible for a nonexistent entity or even a nonexistent object to be evil and cruel.

One thing the atheists cannot do is produce evidence God is nonexistent. A large part of the evidence we have to prove he is are the shared testimonies from the thousands who have experienced God's miraculous communications personally. It's not hearsay or third party testimony. Rather it is the same type of evidence accepted in every court. It is eyewitness testimony. The atheists on that site would never say we didn't have that. Why? Because they couldn't truthfully say it. And that's just one of the reasons for God's miraculous revelations. No one can truthfully say people are not proclaiming them.

God doesn't have to perform miracles for us to believe in Him. I believed in God ever since I was a child, before I saw any miracles. Plus, Jesus says, "Blessed is he who believes but has not seen."
You are correct. But the only reason you know about him is because he performed miracles. No miracles and you'd be in the dark. There would be no biblical writing or any reputable stories at all about God, not even verbal ones. You only know him because he's miraculously communicated with others. If not for that, your God would be your superstition, like the people who worship false Gods. It would be the same.

And then if you believed in a creator, you might believe in a race of creators, or some other false story someone just made up. That's already been proven through the billions of people who never knew God because they didn't know about or decided not to accept the miraculous communications he's shared with people. That's not the worst part of the situation you'd be in. The worst part is that if God decided never to miraculously communicate with mankind, this is all you would have. And when your life here is over, you would be over and erased.

But the only reason you know about him is because he performed miracles.
I have to disagree, when I was a child I never witnessed a miracle, but I believed in God. I had this drop of faith within me, that grew and grew and now my faith is unshakeable.

I don't belief that to be true.

I don't see that in the scriptures and I don't always see it in an experiential way in my own life or that of others.

God didn't do a miracle every time He spoke to a man of God in the scriptures to prove that it was Him speaking.

Although God did do a miracle for me personally - proving His existence in order for me to believe the gospel - I doubt that He does it for everyone.

Even in my case - there was room for me to doubt what I had experienced. It then became a matter of faith and my own choice to believe that it was Him that I had experienced and not something from within me.

For what it's worth - there are plenty of people around who claim to have visited either Heaven or Hell and come back to tell about it. Many of them write books about it.

I have no real reason to believe that they are lying. They probably believe it to be a miracle from God rather than something from within themselves or from another source entirely.

But in many cases I do have reason to not believe that it was an experience from God - especially when it come to supposed trips to Heaven. Those reasons range from unscriptural accounts of things in Heaven to their lack of understanding of the gospel that they exhibit at same time they claim that God sent them back to tell of the experience.

I.e. - There is no call to repentance and a personal faith in the gospel in order to be saved. In fact - in most cases there seems to be nothing to be saved from in their account of how God operates and what He cares about.

The bottom line is that - although I believe God does do miracles - I doubt that every supposed miraculous experience is from God. It may be from within or it may even be the work of the devil in some cases - no matter how lovey dovey and touchy feely their story is.

I especially wonder about that in the case of "good religious folks" who visit Heaven and return with a message that presents Heaven and the God Who presides over it as a sure thing for everyone - even those of other faiths.

It has definnitely happened to me. Shortly after I became a Christian, in fact.

In August 1997, I was watching the halftime show during a preseason National Football League game and heard this: Mark Brunell, then the starting quarterback (ball thrower) for the Jacksonville Jaguars, a team I previously did not care about, tore two knee ligaments. The halftime show host said he needed surgery. He added Brunell was out for the year. This is almost always what happens when players tear major knee ligaments completely.

Before halftime was over, the Holy Spirit made me want to pray for Brunell. So after the game I watched, I did. "Lord, please let Mark Brunell's surgery go smoothly with no complications and let him heal soon so he can play in November or December." The next week, I watched another preseason game and . . .

The same halftime show host announced this injury update: Brunell is only out 6 weeks and does not need surgery. This was unheard of. When I expected God to bring Brunell back around Thanksgiving, He was thinking three months ahead. I learned this lesson from it: When you ask Him for something, He can and will do more than that. We underestimate God's power. I certainly did. Because of this miracle I have been a Jacksonville Jaguars fan ever since.

I am asking, have you been contacted by God WITH proofs given you through miraculous revelations? Scriptures speak of God personally revealing himself through personal contacts throughout history. And there were always miraculous revelations experienced by the people God communicated with in that personal way.

I am hesitant to answer here. I just know that, although healthy skepticism is a good thing, claims like this are also often met with the attitude of "Yeah, right." LOL.

But nevertheless, I will answer. Thirteen years ago now, I had a visitation from God that put me on my face. i was at my lowest, bound by lust and inappropriate content, and had tried everything I knew to rein in my flesh. And failed. I finally came to the point I knew nothing else to try, and like wretched Paul in Romans 7, I was desperate beyond measure, yet without hope.

That amazing night, God showed me what I had missed in His plan for me, and by missing it, it guaranteed that I would never be able to walk in victory. Ahhhh, but conversely, by NOT missing it, it guarantees that we will walk pleasing to God in ALL things. Understanding... and receiving..... this truth changes EVERYTHING. Religion is replaced..... thank God..... with relationship. Life becomes a never ceasing conversation.... real prayer.....where we finally are able to say as Paul said:

"I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless I live. Yet not I, but Christ now liveth IN ME." Not with. IN.

I have shared on this precious message over and over to any who will give ear to me.... and some who have not, lol....for all thirteen years now. At 70, when most my age would be looking for a nice quiet retirement, I feel my ministry is just about to start.

And this considering my wife and I have raised and adopted Jack, our youngest of 12 grandchildren, and have now done the same with Gavin, our yougest of five great grandchildren. Who am I kidding? I couldn't retire if I wanted to anyway. What a crazy life. Crazier still. I love it.

The glory of that night was monumental. People ask me what God looked like. I tell them I have no clue. His light put me on my face. What emotion was I experiencing? Amazement? Joy? Terror? Yes, yes and yes.

But I never point people to my visitation as a reason to believe what God has asked me to share. I point them to the truth of who we are, and once we hoist our shield of faith, God then does what God has clearly promised to do for each and every one of us... set us free indeed.

blessings, and thanks for bearing with me,

Gideon
