Rich men don't create jobs, consumers do.

There's really only one problem with unfettered capitalism - HUMAN GREED. Trickle down stopped working when 'one for all and all for one' became 'me me me'.

"Me me me" goes a lot deeper into the population than just the rich.

Producers and consumers together make up the economy.

Not surprising. Taxes on the rich had been trending down for decades according to the graph, so it was just a matter of time. The uptick in taxes for the rest is likely because of higher earnings.
Taxes are up *for a given earnings level.*

Yeah, ok, ha ha, you stick with that. You're on the winning side anyway, at least until Christ returns, strips us of our wealth and possessions, and asks what else ya got?

In the meantime we are to be wise stewards of the blessings of this blessed land, which of course includes the money.

Seriously, where's the raspberry emoji? That statement is soooo far fetched that's really the only appropriate response.

Anyone can become rich in America. Just follow the rules for getting rich. If you are unclear about those rules I can help. :)

I would have gotten rich much sooner than I did but as a young man I had other things on my mind. :D

Are you suggesting teachers and nurses are more valuable than football coaches and Hollywood actors? Like it or not; teachers and nurses are a dime a dozen; NFL football coaches and top actors are not.
Wow. Just wow.

Are all a hand? Are all a foot? Do all have the same gifts and callings? There takes a certain mental acuity to promote the acquisition of wealth. Takes a certain heart-set to do it as it's being done today.

They might want to rethink that.

Have they considered how much they benefit from taxes paid by the rich?

Not enough. In some European countries, they have free education all the way to college and free healthcare.

Some even eliminated poverty, prostitution....

Is it worst thing in the world to have a government that is generous to the poor, takes very good care of their women, children, and the elderly at the cost of the rich?

Doesn't the Kingdom of God operate in a similar fashion??

It usually takes several generations of work and sacrifice to build family wealth and privilege, so those who wish to do so should start now.

Have you read about the "Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard"?

The Lord only cares about being generous. And not about who got their feet planted first.... It's not about who did the most work....

The first will be last and the last will be first....

Ironically, the Lord gives a warning to those "who finds their life in this world" will lose it....

Which team do you cheer for?

Are you rich now? How long did it take for you to acquire your first billion?

But that is what Trump did as soon as he got into office! And guess what happened? Unemployment at record low, Stock market record high, minority jobs record high, the poor are doing better than ever before! Sounds like things did work out like they thought it would on paper

I'll address each point below...

Unemployment rates, by themselves without considering other factors, aren't a great barometer of economic health, overall.

"Being Employed" can mean making $9/hour, or making $100k/year.

You could replace 9 well paying jobs with 10 lousy ones and technically "lower the unemployment rate"

Stock Market fluctuations aren't related to what's known as "real wage growth". Regardless of what the stock market is doing, real wage growth is not favorable at the moment:

As far as the "poor people are doing better than ever" claim, that's more or less just a non-descriptive, generic statement. You'll need to quantify that with something.

There is looming shortage of both teachers and nurses. However supply and demand doesn't appear to work for them.
There is no shortage where I live. In the NFL there are only a few dozen teams thus the extremely limited coaching jobs require the few that become coaches be the best in the world. Whenever your job requires you to be among the best in the world at something, you get paid a lot.

Correct...like I touched on in my previous post, markets with inelastic demand don't conform to the traditional supply/demand model. And that goes for both the consumer side, as well as the regular employees on the supply side.

We should examine that.

How long do you think it should take to become comfortably well off? At age 44 I was still in debt. At age 54 my net worth was about $20,000, and no retirement savings.

Are the rich not generous?

You mean generous enough?

There's a difference between "giving out of one's abundance" and the Godly version of being generous.

The latter makes a real difference and brings healing and salvation too.
