Awesome. Can you share some insight please.

Heaven ...
specifically looking at "who" will be in heaven.

There are many religions, but Jesus said ...

“I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me."

~ John 14:6

Those who have trusted in Jesus Christ will be in heaven ...

I would like to hear more about your sermon,
if you feel lead to share abit about it ...

:)
Caleb was 1 of the 12 spies sent into the promise land and 1 of 2 that came back with a positive report.

God said that because Caleb had a "different spirit" he would enter the promised land and his descendants would inherit it.

Caleb had a different spirit, we likewise are called to have a different spirit meaning:
We see things differently
We speak differently
We act differently
We praise differently
We fight differently (spiritually)

Ours this morning was on Knowing God. How God already knows everything about us and planned for us to be part of the body.

How drawing in to the knowledge of God keeps us Holy.

It was on the first five verses of Psalm 103. Being a cessationist church, this part got the expected interpretation:

who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,

The pastor interpreted it as spiritual healing. The funny thing is, this was the same set of verses Duane Miller was reading when he got healed right in front of his congregation. That was definitely physical.

I remember when I belonged to an unbelieving church. It was not good for me spiritually.

Interesting I was asked for specifically, I think that request may have to do with the other thread started, but anyways happy to oblige @hislegacy

I attend a small church plant here in NE KS that is going through a transition time with no official leadership (interims at lead pastor and worship). I play Lead Guitar on the worship team.

Worship songs:
Glorious Day
Reckless Love
Waymaker
Build My Life

The sermon on Sunday was about God's presence. Preached out of 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

1) Be joyful - We can be joyful because God has birthed his Spirit within us. Joy doesn't always mean smiling, but its a certainty that God is there. Shows and mentions the book, "The Divine Conspiracy: Rediscovering Our Hidden Life In God" by Dallas Willard and recommends it.

2) Pray always - Prayer doesn't have to be kneeling, eyes closed. Always having an attitude of prayer and maintaining constant communication with God is essential to growth as a believer. Shows and mentions the book, "Practicing the Presence of God" by Brother Lawrence. Mentions how Brother Lawrence was basically a farm hand who was so close to God because of constant prayer that even Monks and priests would seek him out. (PS I own this book myself and absolutely LOVE IT!!!)

3) Be thankful in all things - Shared a story about being in Canada for a time and it was dark and cloudy for nearly a month. Normally theyd be upset, but they knew the Sun was still there and would shine again. We should try to bear the same attitude in difficult situations. God is still there and he is still in control.

Thats a horrible synopsis but yeah.

Then we had communion, and announcements. Church is nearing a decision to find a permanent home. Currently meeting in an elementary school cafeteria. Mentioned Praisefest, which is a local music festival put on by local churches and a headlining artist, this year is 10th Avenue North.

Actually no. It doesn’t have to do with any thread you have started. It is because I have been praying for you for more than five years. I was hoping thing were well in all areas of you life.

Thanks for posting, sounds like s nice service.
