Not an increase of gold diggers then?

Well, statistically, more women are attending and graduating college than men. I think men are often sticking to blue collar or trade-related work.

I typed that with a bit of a wry smile, but yeah, we're definitely in that generation now. But I'm at peace with myself so I couldn't give a toss :grinning: - all I want is a world where people are free to be whatever they want to be.

It's the blue collar who makes the babies, that's why!

You mean the ones who used to stand in a kitchen all day churning butter, earning an allowance?

Did they get an allowence? Things were better than I imagined.

Both ways if a man or woman can not keep a good job that is not the only negative usualy but a flag of other not desired traits.
I prefer stable to companions so I would be stable and alone before together and broke.

That is why I post here SINGLES

Is there a lack of economically attractive men... or is there a lack of otherwise attractive women? Forgive me if this sounds anachronistic, but women tend to be the ones who do the attracting. And that attractiveness can be a powerful motivator for men.

Why should a man work hard for a dismissive, arrogant, foul-mouthed, female who cares more about "getting ahead" than for her own physical and emotional well-being? How can he confide in someone like that, let alone love her passionately and want her permanently in his life?

To be sure, there are still good women and good men out there. Lots of them, in fact. I'm not sure what percentage it takes to spoil the experience for others, but it can make finding a spouse more difficult than it needs to be.

If this study is correct, there must be a good many frustrated and lonely men out there. That can't be good.

I wonder what the solution would be. Would it be an economic solution? They seem to think it's an economic problem.

It is the problem with heart mind and soul.
If you give an opportunity for economic secure does not mean every one will keep it, because there is deeper issue

I won’t marry someone financially unstable or reckless. If he’s unable to make ends meet or manage his affairs that’s his first priority. I won’t be the bread winner or clean up the mess.

Fortunately, that isn’t the case for many men. Especially those pursuing a traditional male-led relationship. They are generally more mature, responsible, and desirous of a companion who will let them lead in peace. Their provision and strength are reliable constants that don’t require haggling. Its a refreshing way of relating.

No one should believe they’re entitled to a companion on account of their religion or desire for marriage. Both must bring something to the table worthy of attraction and commitment.

More than 7 million men between the ages of 25 and 54 — prime working age — have dropped out of the labor force. —The Week

"One in six prime-age guys has no job; it's kind of worse than it was in the depression in 1940," says Nicholas Eberstadt, an economic and demographic researcher at American Enterprise Institute who wrote the book Men Without Work: America's Invisible Crisis. He says these men aren't even counted among the jobless, because they aren't seeking work. —NPR

I’ve read several articles on this issue. Here’s a few:

A "good job" can be subjective. I'm assuming this has nothing to do with a job being legal or illegal (organized crime).

Like I used to work as a clerk. Many people might see it as a lowly job but I actually enjoyed the work!

To me, it's a good job. I also worked as truck driver on occassions with some manual labor (lifting, auto mechanic, etc). Someone might see it as lowly but again, I liked it! It somehow felt great to be in control of a big and heavy vehicle!

I seldom drive trucks anymore but kept being a clerk (mostly) working for myself.

I mean career. No fear of future income. If you enjoy working fast food that is fine but it cannot easily suport family life which should be considered in christian marriage?
