I have a friend of the SDA faith. Her husband left her to have an affair with another woman. They became divorced. (And apparently this is his 2nd marriage). This is her first marriage.

She is now dating a man in the SDA Church. He is divorced from his wife
and the reasons he divorced her are as follows:-

He said she was an angry person
She didn't follow the SDA faith - (they were previously both Greek Orthodox) but now he is practisiing SDA.

I told my friend that these are not biblical reasons for divorce but apparently
in the SDA faith they are.

They are now dating and spending time alone together?
She has two sons and they are talking about marriage.

My friend was into prostitution before she came back to her SDA faith.
I also told her to be careful of this man because he has told her that he struggles with "sexual urges" and she has her own past struggles.

So, those who are of the SDA faith, would the church approve of her relationship with this man.
They do attend church and bible study together.

well.. you were right and the SDA denomination does not approve of divorce except in cases where the spouse is unfaithful.

So, those who are of the SDA faith, would the church approve of her relationship with this man.

The SDA denomination takes a strong stand against divorce however it is implemented at the local church congregational level not by higher levels of the denomination hierarchy .. so for example the President of the SDA denomination, or president of the Division, or Union, or local Conference would not go to the local congregation and tell them they had to disfellowship someone for getting a divorce... it is left up to the autonomy of the local congregation to stand with the direction set by the denomination.
