Hello, everyone. I am writing this because I am having a nagging thought at the slight chance that I may have blasphemed the Holy Ghost. I know deep down that I have truly not, but I have OCD, and that makes it harder for me to get through my mind. My theology/doctrine falls in line with independent fundamental baptist, King James Only. Lately, I have been listening to a guy on Youtube called "TheWordProphet", and while he is King James Only and has some edifying content, I am finding *a lot* of red flags with some of his doctrine. I'll list a few here below:

-*No* one goes to Heaven without being baptized in water (Jesus Only baptism btw). This includes babies, newborns, kids, elderly, people with disabilities who could not be fully immersed in water....etc.

- God the Father is the Holy Spirit

- Jesus did not always exist from time past, and to say otherwise is witchcraft.

- Baptists are not saved.

- Trinitarians are not saved.

- Once Saved Always saved is a damnable lie

- Not everyone that is born again is a Christian

-Christians don't celebrate Christmas

- You can't have the Holy Ghost without speaking in tongues, and just because you have the Holy Ghost, doesn't mean you are saved.

The list goes on and on, and while there may be a few points some here may agree with (would rather not debate), many of these teachings are alarming. However, I've been trying to keep an open mind, and try to be a Berean and search the scriptures to see if I could possibly be wrong in what I believe. A thought came into my head today more or less, that, with teachings like these, it would have been better for people if he never started a Youtube channel to begin with, and immediately, another thought popped in my head saying something along the lines of "No, then Satan would just raise up another person to send on Youtube". I immediately cast that thought aside. I do believe Satan can and does raise people on Youtube to deceive, but I'd *like* to give this man the benefit of the doubt and he is just severely confused.....that and in the event that what it teaches *is* right, it is a terrifying thought to say that someone who is truly of God with the Holy Spirit inside of him is being raised up by Satan.

As for my profession of faith, I believe I am saved, and sealed unto the day of redemption, and I am eternally secure because I put all my faith in Jesus Christ: his death, burial, and resurrection to save me, and that my works (repenting of my sins) doesn't save me, but they are works in obedience to Him to earn rewards, and avoid chastisement on this Earth.

Any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated at this time. Thank you.

In my opinion, the blaspheme of the Holy Ghost is when you reach the point of delusion that you actually believe that evil is good and good is evil. I think this because of the context. The Pharisees were saying Jesus cast out demons by Beelzebub, who is a head demon. They were calling the Holy Spirit Beelzebub. After saying a house divided can not stand, he warns us that all sins are forgivable except the blaspheme of the Holy Spirit. If you are that deluded in thinking God is Satan, there is no way for you to repent.

As for the other things he says. Who cares? It's just this man's opinion. If you know Christ and understand your salvation is by grace alone, not works, then let Christ deal with that man. As Jesus told Peter, What's that to you? You walk with me.

Hi, Alex. Thanks for replying! I do have a desire for growth in my doctrine, and being able to confidently show from scriptures what I believe and why I do, but with so many interpretations of doctrine, I just want to make sure to find truth, and seek like-minded people who believe those truths.

There are going to be things that the Lord shows you that others will not see. Such things are not important. Seeking like minded people needs to be in the fundamentals. So much is open for discussion, they are not important.

In my walk, I care more for people who have humility of Spirit and are not adamant regarding so many doctrines. The older I get, the more I realize how little I actually know. I admit, I get annoyed with people who think they have truth in their pocket. Especially those who want to convince everyone else that their understanding is the only correct understanding. Usually, the harder they try to convince others, the harder they are actually (subconsciously) trying to convince themselves.

First of all... show me a verse that says "doctrine saves." If it were our doctrine that saved us... we wouldn't need the work of messiah, would we? Thus, I would RUN from the "Word Prophet" and ANYONE else who calls themselves a prophet. In a couple of decades plus in this, not one man have I met, that is doing the work of God, has referred to himself by anything. And he shouldn't... why would we draw attention to ourselves with titles? Our works should identify us.

Anyway... blasphemy by definition means 'to speak evil of' and it is deliberate, not accidental. So unless you went out into the mall, grab the microphone, and started speaking evil of the Holy Spirit... attributing his works to the devil, you're fine!

Sounds very pharisaical to me.(the preacher)

Trust in Jesus. Rely on the Father to increase your faith when you worry. When stressed about it remember all you need to do at the end of the day is trust and obey.

Love the Lord your God, and walk empowered through Him. Philippians 4:6-8 Matthew 6 and 7

The thief on the cross next to Jesus wasn't baptised. All he did was profess Christ and he made it to Heaven.

Remember Proverbs 3:5-6.

I have stopped reading for knowledge sake. I've noticed that a lot of people start trusting in their doctrine and become cold hearted showing less fruit of the spirit and more pride in their opinions. Then they contend with each other over it. It's disheartening.

I read the Bible to spend time with the Lord so have read all of it quite a few times. It isn't my doctrine that will get me into heaven. It is Christ. The less time spent listening to preachers on you tube, the more time you can spend with Him. I listen to audiobible rather than sermons nowadays. The Spirit lays verses on your heart there too.

Imo,if someone is worried they've committed the unpardonable sin....they most likely have not. It's an evil act.If you love the Lord and are worried, you are probably being troubled by the enemy.
We tend to forget we have an enemy like a roaring lion who wants to kill and destroy us.He knows time is short, and he ain't playing.
Please leave that false prophet alone. The second you encounter a red flag with ANYONE who calls themself a Christian (especially a self proclaimed prophet),it's time to move on.
