Hello, everyone. I am writing this because I am having a nagging thought at the slight chance that I may have blasphemed the Holy Ghost. I know deep down that I have truly not, but I have OCD, and that makes it harder for me to get through my mind. My theology/doctrine falls in line with independent fundamental baptist, King James Only. Lately, I have been listening to a guy on Youtube called "TheWordProphet", and while he is King James Only and has some edifying content, I am finding *a lot* of red flags with some of his doctrine. I'll list a few here below:
-*No* one goes to Heaven without being baptized in water (Jesus Only baptism btw). This includes babies, newborns, kids, elderly, people with disabilities who could not be fully immersed in water....etc.
- God the Father is the Holy Spirit
- Jesus did not always exist from time past, and to say otherwise is witchcraft.
- Baptists are not saved.
- Trinitarians are not saved.
- Once Saved Always saved is a damnable lie
- Not everyone that is born again is a Christian
-Christians don't celebrate Christmas
- You can't have the Holy Ghost without speaking in tongues, and just because you have the Holy Ghost, doesn't mean you are saved.
The list goes on and on, and while there may be a few points some here may agree with (would rather not debate), many of these teachings are alarming. However, I've been trying to keep an open mind, and try to be a Berean and search the scriptures to see if I could possibly be wrong in what I believe. A thought came into my head today more or less, that, with teachings like these, it would have been better for people if he never started a Youtube channel to begin with, and immediately, another thought popped in my head saying something along the lines of "No, then Satan would just raise up another person to send on Youtube". I immediately cast that thought aside. I do believe Satan can and does raise people on Youtube to deceive, but I'd *like* to give this man the benefit of the doubt and he is just severely confused.....that and in the event that what it teaches *is* right, it is a terrifying thought to say that someone who is truly of God with the Holy Spirit inside of him is being raised up by Satan.
As for my profession of faith, I believe I am saved, and sealed unto the day of redemption, and I am eternally secure because I put all my faith in Jesus Christ: his death, burial, and resurrection to save me, and that my works (repenting of my sins) doesn't save me, but they are works in obedience to Him to earn rewards, and avoid chastisement on this Earth.
Any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated at this time. Thank you.
