Interesting article. I have seen the subtle (and sometimes NOT so subtle) elements of gnosticism filtering into church doctrine in protestant, evangelical and WOF pentecostal doctrine.

The ancient heresy was based on Greek dualism, inherent in their pagan pantheon. Flesh/material = bad;
Spirit/immaterial = good.

I suppose even "replacement theology" which includes a "spiritual fulfillment" to physical promises to ethnic Israel in the OT could be related to that error as well.

And the premise of the article, that the rapid decline in public morality and gender confusion stem from that heresy, means that the fact some mainline protestant denominations have fallen for those lies may indicate even the more conservative groups could be next.

Replacement would mean that while a complete reading of the bible would show a physical and spiritual aspect to prophesy.
