I don't agree. All fruit is unripe at first, good or bad. Lord Jesus made it clear that is was the quality of fruit, not ripe or unripe. No, you don't get grapes from thorn bushes. The fruit simply shows the nature of the tree.

Amos 8:1-14
THE WORST FAMINE OF ALL
What is more fragile than summer fruit! So beautiful, so refreshing, yet so readily corrupted and diseased. To Amos it was an emblem of the rapidity with which dissolution would overtake his rebellious nation. The end had arrived. The Great Husbandman could do no more. When the harvest has come, separation between good and bad is inevitable. See Isa_5:4; Mat_13:30.
The crimes of the ruling class were enormous. Eager to increase their stores, they wearied of time given to religion. They grudged passing a day without opening their salesrooms. They did not scruple to make their measures (ephah) small, and to demand a greater weight of money (shekel) from their clients. These were crimes that could not be passed over. It is an awful sentence when God says, “I will never forget,” Amo_8:7. Invasion would sweep the land like an inundation. Since the people would not heed the God-sent messengers, they would be withdrawn. There would be a famine of the Word of God, and those who had most despised it, because enamored with the fascinations of youth, would be smitten with an insatiable appetite for it.

I’d gotten some of Neil Douglas - Klutz’s books awhile ago and forgotten about them. The introduction section pointed to that about mature and immature fruit.

Every tree has both. The quality of maturity is essential for rewards not to be lost. So in that sense there can be those whose works were not always according to the new nature, ( in process of sanctification) making them still in the process of reaching maturity. (or lose rewards in the new kingdom)

Both would be produce of the same tree.

But the diseased tree (counterfeit christianity, tares) would be where 'the cause’ is for selfish motives. Non-abstemious in conduct. Because "you don't get grapes from thorn bushes."
To distinguish the wine from the whine, pardon the pun.

It’s a beautiful analogy but it isn’t scriptural in the verses provided.

What does that have to do with Matthew 13:30? Or do you mean 13:15?

Isaiah 6:10

I’m also interested in knowing (having never read these books before and being totally unschooled) what is the method-style of Semitic languages that’s similar to Jewish midrash. Like how do they compare and how do they differ?
