Sounds enchanting! We have a small wooded area behind our house that's loaded with frogs. They sing to us every night.
That is lovely, we always had cats, they live 18 or 19 years, I would love another one, but husband says no, he thinks we are too oldMy wife and I seem to have dogs in pairs. Our last pair had to be put down at 16 and 18, and we still miss them. Our current pair both turned 10 several months ago. They become part of the family before you know it. We know why having dogs is good for your health.
Thanks for letting us know how Bear is doing. You have been so unselfish in letting him go and it seems that the Lord is really blessing him in his new home. It must be comforting to know that he is in good hands and nice to get news of him. I'm glad you were not worried about him when you were in hospital and I hope that you are recovering from your hospital visit. This is the latest update on my beloved Bear from his wonderful new Mom:
"He has settled in and knows my routine. He likes the variety of proteins I give him. I cook chicken of course, pork roasts, beef roasts, hamburger, pearled barley, and I usually sprinkle some grated cheddar over the top. He eats everything I make for him. Sometimes I open large cans of albacore tuna for him, he loves it. He is a good boy!
My 14 year old shepherd chow chow mix is failing. He has been diabetic for nearly 6 years and blind for nearly 4 years. He has had hip displaysia since he was a puppy and his back end is giving out on him. I have him on Rimadyl and Tromadol to comfort him. One for inflammation and one for pain, he still eats, goes outside through the doggy door, wants cookies and lots of lovins. He will let me know when it’s time. My heart is breaking. I have had him since he was 8 weeks old."
My friend and I just laughed ourselves silly---she has a black lab she loves and she doesn't go through that much trouble for him! My neighbor thought I was a little over indulgent because I cooked chicken for Bear. Plus she gives him his treats. He is absolutely in doggie heaven.
I was in the hospital for 3 days and it was so great to lay there and not worry about him. The last time I was in the hospital was just overnight and I was constantly worried about him even though I had a neighbor go by and feed him. He hates being alone. Now he has 2 other dogs to play with--though it sounds it may go down to 1 soon. But I know she will not dump him when he gets old or sick as many do because they are no longer fun. She's cared for her elderly one now a long time and I know she will be as kind with Bear. It just makes me so very happy to read her note.
Pets are wonderful, aren't they? We always had cats, but I can understand people loving their dogs just as we loved our cats. My neighbours' cats are a great joy.

Thank you---God knew what He was doing in getting Bear a new home---my health is going downhill and I am in hospice at home now. I would be useless for him in my present condition. I can picture him in his new surroundings for she has sent me pictures, and pictures of his toy pile, which I've never seen a bigger one outside of a pet store! It brings me peace.

A clean house!
I like it, one for me, don't forget the doughnutsA small everyday thing I enjoy - a cup of coffee!
How lovely of your niece and her family. I expect that you have been a good aunt to her too though. I hope you get someone who is a good cleaner and really nice person.I was just informed my one niece and her family has decided they are going to pay someone to come in and clean my house! My heart has gotten to where I can do very little without it acting up and I can't belief how good God is to me by touching her heart this way. She always has been just the sweetest child and has grown into a very kind hearted woman. Her husband and child are the same way. I am so happy! God bless them!
