From the "Would you like fries with that?", files: Wendy's to open for breakfast, hire 20,000 workers

... system wide in 2020 ...

Wendy's said that its breakfast menu will include a breakfast Baconator, Frosty-ccino, and honey butter chicken biscuit
.

Honey butter chicken biscuit? I'll admit, it sounds intriguing.

I seem to recall them trying this before.

I also seem to recall it failing spectacularly.

We'll see.
You know the old saying; "if at first you don't succeed, try, try again."

Maybe they learned from past failure. The prospect of easily increasing revenue must seem appealing.

So is heart disease. ^_^
Nah, people have been dying of heart disease for as long as people have been around.

Case in point, Russia. I was surprised to learn that when the USSR collapsed, male life expectancy was barely 60 years ... something about vodka, methinks.

20,000 fast food workers. Just the kind of jobs we need to compete in the 21st century global economy.
Well, we kept hearing about the "service economy" under Obama.

Personally, I'm glad Trump didn't fully buy into that.
BTW: How thoroughly will they check the immigration status of all those new hires?
As thoroughly as the government requires and allows them to?

So under Donald Trump we have the fast food economy?

As thoroughly as the government requires and allows them to?

If they're too thorough, they won't fill all the openings.

They're also adding jobs in the heart surgery industry.

Let's hope so.

Here's the lesson for today's youth:

Making chicken biscuits is not a career.
Keep out of trouble.
Don't do drugs.
Stay in school. Study STEM.
Science is real. Learn it and live by it.

Why do fast food places serve breakfast at all hours of the day but not their normal fare before 11:00AM. I have never eaten or had any desire to eat breakfast food past 9:00AM. I look at what passes for breakfast food at the fast food joints and think to myself "I would rather eat dirt". I would however gladly pay them Tuesday for a hamburger at 8:00 AM.

It's probably up to the franchise owner as to the background check they utilize. Some may use e-verify.

The idea of cooking is being lost in America....

Some people just don't have the time or resources to do things themselves.

For example, with my working the evening shift, I often don't get dinner until 11 PM or later, well after everyone else at the house eats between 6 and 7.

Normally it's not an issue; I just grab whatever was left over and heat it up.

But if, say, someone has been told that they aren't supposed to eat after a certain period of time because of a medical procedure in the morning, then it's not far for anyone at the house to eat after that period. Thus, I'm off to Taco Bell or Wendy's once I'm done and eat it in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Yes, it happens.
