I saw Marius today, whom we've prayed for in the past. He seems in good spirits and is trusting the Lord for so much in his life, so thank you for your past prayers for him: the Lord has answered them.

However his wife was taken ill on Monday. It seemed serious but he believes that the Lord saved her life. She is still under medical care though and has some problems with her lungs. We'd appreciate prayer for her and for Marius's concern for her. Thank you my friends.

I again ask for your prayers for me. I got out of the hospital yesterday for an out-patient procedure for pain management shots in my spine. They do have some side effects, and they don't always work. I'm having some problems this time and would sincerely appreciate your prayers.

I'm praying that things get some better by tomorrow. Thank you Lord for your will, whatever it is.

Dear Lord, please will you ease the side-effects of Tom's shots and cause the shots to be effective in relieving him of pain. I pray for a miraculous change in how Tom was feeling and for him to be able to do things, pain free, which he couldn't do when he came out of hospital. Thank you sincerely for your prayers. The shots and procedure may have been some different this time. My discharge papers said it might be as much as a week before I felt better and the pain was impacted. I'm already feeling some better, so I give thanks. However, I don't think that I'll be ready for a 100 yard dash anytime soon.

My doctor has also ordered home health physical therapy. I'm happy about this because we don't have to get out, and I don't have to worry as much about falls and getting hurt. I'm doing some better again today, so I'm hoping for more good results from the physical therapy. Thank you sincerely for the prayers.

I won't say that I'm having fun with physical therapy, but I do know that it's doing good things for me. Some of the younger folks probably don't know that physical therapy HURTS. Some have heard the saying: ("No pain, no gain"). I'm on a 12 week program right now, and I just finished week 1.

I'm pleased that you are getting the therapy at home, Tom, and that you are feeling a bit better - thank you Lord. I pray that the therapy will be effective and not too painful. Psalm 91 keeps coming to mind.

Thanks sincerely for the prayers. Progress is slow, but I can do a little bit more than I could when I started. I'm looking forward to resting a couple of days and jumping back in there on Monday.

I think there is improvement. It's hard to tell with the accidents that I've had, especially in my wheelchair. Let's put it this way - I need a new wheelchair.

I see two therapists tomorrow - one physical therapist and one occupational therapist. I questioned OT because I'm retired, but I didn't understand that was teaching you tricks to do what you want to in different ways (i.e. something as simple as putting your socks on can be difficult for me). I now have a plastic gizmo that makes it pretty easy. So, I'm just going to do what they tell me to and see what happens. Thanks for asking.
