As far as I can tell brother, we are to seek God's writing on our heart throughout the scriptural nurturing process. That "desire the sincere milk of the word", if I'm not mistaken, grows too.

Great to get into the Word of God! Genesis is the book of beginnings revealing to us God's creation and the fall of man. The life of Abraham and the plan of God for His people.

Exodus is the book telling how the Children of Israel came out of Egypt led by God's servant Moses.

I think I already mentioned this in an earlier thread, but one of the most helpful ways I found to study the scriptures was to watch a film!

The Gospel of John released in 2003 is a brilliant film with actors narrating, word by word, the text of the entire of John's gospel. Excellent characters, amazing scenery, and quality narration. They should do one for all of the books of the Old and New Testament.

I love the gospel narratives of the life of Jesus. St Matthew clearly reveals Jesus as the Messiah Saviour!

The book of Leviticus gives many regulations under the old Jewish Law. We can learn many principles that are good there.

The book of Deuteronomy gives the instruction given to the Israelites before the conquest of Canaan. The death of Moses and Joshua succeeding him.
