God is the Creator of all things. He loves everything He created, according to Genesis 1. But God hates Satan and demons and does not want anyone to live in the lake of fire that He created. I don't get it. My mom said a loving God would not create hell because He does not want people to suffer eternally, so she does not believe it exists. Why isn't this true?

Scripture tells us that hell was made for Satan and his fallen angels. Men will end up there simply because they reject the Lamb of God. When we look at Scriptures account we are told the anti- Christ and the unholy prophet are thrown into the lake of fire. After Satan the father is brought down from heaven and placed into the abyss just as his son, anti-christ, and false prophet were held before their defeat at Armageddon. For a thousand years as Messiah Reigns then released for a short time before he is defeated and thrown into the lake of fire. No normal human is thrown into the lake of fire until the Great White Throne Judgment.

If you research on certain people in history, from evil dictators, serial killers, and just random people in snuff films. You would end up wishing that hell is real.
I recall seeing this snuff film called 3 boys and a hammer, in where 3 teens just murdered a random guy outside by beating him to death with a hammer. People like that should go to hell.

I think the question against God in regards to the existence of hell is due to some christians who condemn others who don't share their ideals. In where a good person who isn't a christian is going to hell while any christian regardless of whatever sin is exempted. Any reasonable person would think that a god like that is horrible.

I believe Hell is the death penalty. It is for those who really that evil that they deserve such justice. People like Pol Pot for example and even Pope's back then who have so much blood on their hands that letting them in heaven or having them purified through Purgatory would be a massive injustice to the victims they murdered.

Before we start deciding what God would and would not do, we need to go to the source. God gave us His Word so that we could know the truth. Hell was created for the devil and his angels. Man decided to attach himself to Satan by disobeying God's simple command. It should be no surprise that fallen man ends up sharing Satan's fate. God proves His love by offering an escape. God gave His Son, the Lord Jesus, to die in our place that we may not go down with the devil. If there is no judgement then the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross is pointless. By the way, rejecting God's goodness is an act of disobedience. That's what got Adam and Eve in trouble in the first place. God is love, but He is also holy and righteous. Would your mother want to see murderers and rapists go unpunished? There is a place for them called prison. And that is what hell is like.

Your mother is correct. God does not want any human being to suffer eternally. Which is why He sent His only Son to Earth, to suffer and die in reparation of our sins, so that Heaven might become available to us. But He has created us with the wonderful gift of free will, not as pre-programmed robots who could do only His will. We can freely choose to either accept the gift of eternal happiness God is overing to each of us, or reject it. He has clearly described the way to get there. If we follow His directions, we will have that gift of everlasting perfect happiness. But, since we have free will, we can choose o reject His offer of eternal happiness, if we are foolish enough to do so. Which mean God has to provide another place for those humans who refuse to join Him in Heaven. That place is Hell. It isn't part of God's plan. It is a place reserved for those who freely refuse God's plan.

What my mom thinks is because God would not want anyone to suffer eterinally, the idea hell exists does not make sense. There are 7 billion homo sapiens on Earth. About 2.4 billion of them are Christians. So it really bothers me that people who have no chance to know Jesus and love him go to hell. That is why my mom does not believe in it.

This should drive evangelism, a love for people to know Jesus.

Without Hell, there is no choice.

God is not in hell, so hell HAS to exist or else free will and choice is an illusion.

God gives us choice, do we submit to Him, live in His house agreeing that His ways are best... or... do we live our way, outside His house, away from Him living where He isnt?

If He were to force us to be with Him, there would be a lack of choice and no purpose for freewill. How is it loving to FORCE someone to be with you that wants nothing to do with you?

YES God LOVES his creations... BUT He also loves them enough to respect their use of the free will that He gave to His creation.

IF anyone believes that there is no hell, by what means do they pick and choose truth from untruth?

For IF the warnings of Hell are not truth, what else is lied about?

IF you believe the pleasant things of the bible, but toss aside the rest... then you will fall into the category of those with itching ears in the final days.

There is no such thing as everlasting punishment of the wicked....it is a church doctrine.

Church doctrine? That term looks like churches make up stuff instead of just using the Bible as their final, undisputed authority.

I believe the Bible teaches "Dualistic Conditional Immortality."

This is the view as taught in the Bible that says that "hell" is a very real and literal place; But the wicked will perish (i.e. be erased from existence) in the Lake of Fire (After the Judgment).

To learn more about it, check out this CF thread here:

The Dualistic Conditional Immortality View of Hell

Christ, Himself, went through Hell on the Cross and many of His apostles was also crucified upside down. Hell is part of the human existence.

Some samples are the slaughter of 6 million Jews in the early 1940's and the slaughter of the Germans in the mid 1940's. Hutu and Tutsi slaughtered each other in Burundi and Rwanda.

Here in America we murdered 15 million Aborigines and enslaved 4 million blacks. Today doctors kill 250,000 per year with immunity as shown in this link:

Study Suggests Medical Errors Now Third Leading Cause of Death in the U.S. - 05/03/2016

Only Christ can save us when we suffer. Hell is right down here. Only at death, when we cross the Silent Sea, can we get to Heaven.

I would say that the lake of fire is complete exposure to God's holiness and love, which will be immense suffering for those who have not been united with God's nature through Christ.
Even Peter, James and John, who loved Jesus dearly, could barely cope with being in Christ's presence at His transfiguration on Mt Tabor. Imagine what it will be like for those who hate God.
God will not be torturing them. God simply is.

Absolutely. My fear is people living where they can't learn about Christianity gooing to hell.

"I have seen, at different times, the smoke of a thousand villages - villages whose people are without Christ, without God, and without hope in the world." - Robert Moffat (1795-1883), Missionary to Africa

"The spirit of Christ is the spirit of missions. The nearer we get to him, the more intensely missionary we become." - Henry Martyn (1781-1812), Missionary to India and Persia

"It is high time to make known the glad tidings in these dark regions of sin and spiritual bondage." - Samuel Marsden (1765-1838), Missionary to New Zealand

"In each generation God has called enough men and women to evangelize all the people on earth. It is not God who does not call; it is man who will not respond." - Isobel Kuhn (1901-1957), Missionary to Thailand

"I believe it will only be known on the Last Day how much has been accomplished in missionary work by the prayers of earnest believers at home." - James Fraser (1886-1938), Missionary to China

Tell your mom God didn't create hell for man, but for Satan and his angels. Man has a choice to either follow God or Satan into eternity.
