Does anyone like doo-wop songs?

Just some of my favorites. I'd hate to think that music like this, with catchy tunes and great vocal harmonies, will die out with us aging Baby Boomers.

I'm with you on this ... really like the DooWop

There is a PBS DooWop Special that gets broadcasted every once in a while performed by current DooWop groups and they are very very good. Look for it.

Also are some posted out on youtube.

It's not real popular but doowop is living on ;o)

Yeah, I don't listen to it often but I appreciate most forms of music.

Reminds me of the film "Stand By Me".

Honestly I know a lot of millennials who listen to older tunes like this.

When I was in college (late 60's) a fall tradition was the Fraternity Sing. The frats would compete against each other in a sing-off and the student body would vote for the best performance. IIRC, the winning frat would get a plaque and some cash. This was the song my frat wanted to do. We had a guy who could sing the lead, but we we were stumped on the background vocals. We couldn't find the sheet music, so we tried to figure out the vocal parts from the record. Which we must have played 100 times. We could never get the bass, baritone, and tenor harmony parts right. So we didn't enter the competition that year. These songs really have pretty sophisticated harmonic structures.
