Do you please God? You should want to, and if you are not pleasing Him, why not? This is something many of us go through life never thinking about, but in reality, it's why we are here. Read this scripture from the book of Revelation:

Thou art worthy, O LORD, to receive glory, and honor and power: for Thou has created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created. Revelation 4:11

Don't try to get out of it, He created us for His pleasure, and I'm willing to bet there are a whole bunch of us who are not very pleasing to Him. My advise? Change that. Sure, there are a number of reasons we are going through this flesh life, for instance, we are here to be tested. "This is a test . . . this is only a test." That said, do you think it would be easier to pass our tests if our Heavenly Father is pleased with us? Just saying, this is something to think about.

Faith pleases God.

I have exercised, and continue to, exercise Faith in God.

I'm trying to please God....

....But I'm NOT sure I'm meeting His standards.

It's hard to tell if I'm going to be honest. So I don't really see the point....

In fact, worshiping in the TRUTH and Spirit is more important.... I mean, how can you please God if you don't know what pleases Him?

The Bible tells how, one is Faith, but how you do you know you have faith or live in faith?

" So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God."

"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth"

It is unwise to attempt to appear pleasing on the outside.....For it is as cleaning the outside of a tomb.

The pleasing is done with the inner man.....works that are not seen by those without.....a personal relationship deems a treasure to those who obtain it.....a treasure worship of hiding, lest another takes it away...

What are His standards?
Love Him above all else and love your neighbor as you love yourself.

Do you have a conscience?

In fact, worshiping in the TRUTH and Spirit is more important.... I mean, how can you please God if you don't know what pleases Him?
Now you know the "standard".

The Bible tells how, one is Faith, but how you do you know you have faith or live in faith?
Temptation is a test of faith. (James 1, 1 Peter 1)
Resist temptation and you will know you have faith!
And thank God for verses like..."There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." (1 Cor 10:13)
Find the escapes!

I’m in Christ.

I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.
— John 17:23

I am loved by the Father in the exact same way He loves the Son.

I try and then find myself often worrying that I'm not doing enough. Then I am reminded that I am saved by faith and stop beating myself up over it. I can't add to what Jesus did for me. I just need to walk with him.

Love Him above all else and love your neighbor as you love yourself.

A lot of people don't seem to know how to love themselves. I think that allowing the "enemy" to make a fool of themselves by believing his lies isn't a good way to love yourself.

Love each other in actions and in truth - 1 John 3:18

Do you have a conscience?

The heart is deceptive above all and desperately wicked - Jeremiah 17:9

Amen to that!

The heart is deceptive above all and desperately wicked - Jeremiah 17:9
Hence the need for a new heart, one reborn of God's incorruptible seed.
The hearts of the reborn are neither deceptive or wicked.

I find it surprising sometimes, still, how beautiful some of the scripture in Revelation is considering the context of some of it.

Interesting idea of a thread and I agree, I sometimes pause and think, am I thinking of God enough with my actions and concentrating on thinking of what pleases Him?

Trust me, none of us meet His standards on our own merits. Wanting to try and wanting to have a relationship is part of the joy.

One of the most famous verses in the Bible contains these words: "For God so loved the world..." Nobody has to try to earn God's love.
That wasn’t the question, though.
