So I was singing "Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so" into the trade chat of a video game about 15 minutes ago (I won't say which video game for fear of being judged by my fellow Christians) and I am really upset deep inside. I got one response "Oh yeah? RNGesus hates me." and I said "No he doesn't." and I didn't get a reply back from him. I prayed for him. Not just because he blasphemed the name of the one true God and is a lost soul but also because he thinks that Jesus doesn't love him and I want him to feel God's love like we feel his love. This is a common belief among atheists and it's just sad. Of course their creator loves them it's plastered all over the Old and New Testament! Honestly these guys should just pick up a bible and see for themselves! I mean half of the time they quote scripture into trade chat so of course they know what the Bible says when they attack it!

Why do people constantly blaspheme the name of God by saying RNGesus, Zombie Jesus, and many other EXTREMELY offensive terms on the internet? Why do people constantly not watch what they say and if I say that I'm offended they constantly attack and belittle me and try to make me question my faith because it's "Logical" to not believe in God. Because in today's evolutionary world of 2019 it's a grave atrocity to believe in and pray to the Trinity the true God of the universe. The game that I'm playing is chuck full of them! I've only met a few actual Christians that play this particular game. One of them played a massive role in converting me to Christianity about 10 years ago when I was a lost atheist. Yes, at one time and for most of my life I was a lost atheist just like these ones are.

I know what you're thinking. Then stop playing the game especially when you are hurt by the things people say and are hurt by all of the trolls. True, I could stop playing. But, many of my friends play this game including my wife and I. We love to play it together and to have fun and I feel like God enjoys the fact that we have fun playing this game. Idk I could be deluded.

But yeah they don't seem to give a crap that they will one day have to give an account to God for everything they say big or small. Like when they make random comments about having relations with a random persons mother, or when they spam various things about forbidden methods of sex, or when they say "God loves all of his children. Even the pedophiles and rapists." in an extremely sarcastic tone. The statement is true but they don't mean it as truth and they mean it as an attack against God. As if a loving God who is love by nature should hate the evil people in this world. If that were the case, he wouldn't love you and you would have no hope of salvation.

So why am I opening a prayer request thread in a thread that's half ranting half crying out for help? Because I want us all to pray for all of the lost souls that play this particular game and for the lost souls of humanity. For all of the people who blaspheme the name of the one true God. I want them all to feel the love of God and to learn to fear God their creator who one day will make them answer for everything that they've ever said and done. Big and small. Just as we Christians will one day have to give an account to God. Nobody is excluded.

Maybe you should add yourself to that list. I’ve never known an area of ministry a servant could not confess. And I’ve known people who ministered to inappropriate content stars and in brothels. The fact you can’t admit where you were among brothers is odd.

Maybe their response was meant to bring this to your attention. Their hostility would not have ruffled your feathers if your intentions had Him in mind. You cast pearls in a place you can’t even acknowledge. Where is His glory in that? God bless.

You mean that I should have handled it differently and accepted the attacks and said the right thing? If so you're probably right and you have a point there. I'm just a coward who cannot do the right thing.

But it seems like whenever you bring up Jesus into any conversation it's like throwing a Molotov cocktail into the middle of it. People get fired up and angry about the littlest things. As if nobody should be Christian and no Christians should be playing a game that they enjoy. It's like we have no right to be hurt and offended by what we believe and have to accept what they believe. It's true. We're apparently doing the same thing by telling them about Jesus but the only difference is telling them about Jesus leads to salvation. Telling them that God doesn't exist and to abandon God leads to destruction. Idk I'm just really upset.

I think you have to consider your setting and how the subject was raised. You weren’t having a discussion. You began singing a Christian tune via chat box impromptu. I wouldn’t be surprised by their reaction. There was no lead-in.

But it seems like whenever you bring up Jesus into any conversation it's like throwing a Molotov cocktail into the middle of it. People get fired up and angry about the littlest things.

That’s because most conversations involve Christians talking at people rather than having sensible discussions which involve give and take and listening.

Religion is a personal subject. You can’t go barging in unannounced. You need to develop a rapport and build up trust. In their eyes you’re a stranger. You don’t have a right to discuss their private affairs and its true. Nor are you subject to the same in your life. You’d probably end the discussion as well.

I don’t believe my faith excuses me from courtesy. Nor do I try to incite people through the bible. I use love instead. You were in a secular environment. You chose to type those words. And the consequence was their backlash. I think a little prudence would have alleviated this.

Demonstrating love and kindness in your countenance would do more to win them over than any sermon. Your frustration over their response from a place you won’t admit (out of fear of judgement) should inform your behavior. It attracts those of a like mind and spirit. ;-)
