I think the Lord is leading me away from the thought process that some secular music can be acceptable if it doesn't seem overly damaging or against his word or if the people singing it seem decent enough people.
Yes in this case i'm talking about the Jonas Brothers!!! I've never been a massive fan but I knew of them and I enjoyed a few of their songs and most of all in a world where most artists only talked about sex I thought they were still a safe group where you could bring kids to. I was so excited about their recent comeback and I love their new music and the whole marketable brothers getting back together and everyone loving them instantly and more than before was a great feel good story amongst the world darkness. But while listening to their new songs and a LOT of their interview, I got the urge to listen to old faves like much better and...BURNING UP!!! It took two to three more listens throughout a few days to finally open up my ears to what they were actually saying:

And the spirit led me to google them again and apparently their song kids of the future background says

You can youtube this. They grew up in a church, worshipped there and their father who was a Pastor had to leave when the church found out the bros were signed to secular label. From them telling the story in "chasing happiness" you can tell it broke their heart. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what began their journey towards going away from the Lord. In this documentary they're full of swearing and other things which wouldn't align.
I will pray for these brothers that one day they return to the Lord.
