I am not interested to join or anything, but just interested in there secrets and what are they hiding like curiousity. When i read about them or read in general all about this Illuminati,New world order i feel really negative emotions even this warm negative feeling. So i mostly stop reading because i just can't continue reading more.

Conspiracy theories can be upsetting if you take them at face value. The problem with most conspiracy theories though is that while they're often very well written and sound plausible, when you step back you realize there is a woeful lack of actual evidence. Deut. 19:15 says that by the voice of two or three witnesses a fact is established. In the case of most conspiracy theories, there are assertions made without any actual evidence and thus we should not accept the facts they purport to tell.

Beyond that, the very concept of conspiracy theories is anti-Christian. By that I mean, we have no business getting worked up over the conspiracies of men because at the end of the day God is in control. Psalm 2 is instructive as it tells us God is laughing at and holding in derision those who are in power and not following his law. He will then dash them to pieces. Don't get worked up over conspiracy theories, it isn't worth your effort.

In the end the freemasons are just normal people. Conspiracies have just made them out to be some super-secret group that has some big agenda. Same with the knights templar. And thanks to games like Assassins Creed, its made the conspiracies about them even bigger.

The founders of the organization didn’t think they were “just normal people”.

Secret societies have never been welcome in the modern western world precisely because our common expectation is that a group should carry out its mission openly and transparently.

If the Masons want society to get over its prejudice against them, they should be more open and honest about everything they keep secret right now.

Until that happens, I won’t have any sympathy for them for the difficulties they’ve faced over the years.

You naturally are curious when reading all those scary websites and publications that make Freemasonry out to be some conspiracy, have something to do with the Illuminati, or other nonsense. None of it is true, however.

By the way all discussions of Masonry are supposed to be posted in the Conspiracy Theories forum, so I recommend that you put your questions there where they can--and will--be answered.

I remember the first time i watched a documentary called "The Jay-Z Deception". I don't know if you know that he is a high ranking freemason but after i watched it and another one I didn't even want to leave my room. I got a sudden sense of the world being such an evil place.

So I just wanted to empathize and say that I understand where you are coming from. The thing to keep in mind is that all of this is just to prepare the world for the One World Government of the Beast. But ultimately God will put an end to all of this and his saved ones will be redeemed. Once you keep this in mind and know that God is on your side and you are on the winning side, you will never really have to fear.

There is a series called Total Onslaught by an individual who's father was a high ranking freemason in South Africa, when it was just introduced there but he became a Christian. Its a really in depth series that deals with the great controversy of good an evil and deals with a wide range of topics.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Here are a lot of them depicting Free Mason initiation ceremonies.

pictures of masonic initiation rite - Google Search

Do you think the Lord wants you to be initiated into something where you are wearing a blindfold, have a rope around your neck, and are dressed, really partially dressed, in a bizarre and undignified way? Check out the oaths that are also spoken in the initiation rites.

This is a cult. As for people acting like there is no such thing as a conspiracy, actually there have been major conspiracies around the globe historically quite commonly. For just one recent example the Nazis had a conspiracy to identify and more and more oppress and initimidate, eventually to destroy, Jews.

You instinct to avoid the Free Masons was right on.

P.S. I just remembered something else. Historically it has been common for Masonic lodges to have both a Bible and a Koran on a podium. The Koran asks Allah to destroy Christians and Jews. Also, research how some major Masonic authors and leaders in the past said Allah was the true diety. Notice their clothing at higher levels, as it seems Arab inspired.

That is absolutely false. If it were a lodge in a Muslim country, yes, but the great majority of lodges are in Christian lands and the Bible is the book used in these countries.

What "research" is that?

Notice their clothing at higher levels, as it seems Arab inspired.
If you are thinking of Shriners, that is not a "higher level" of Masonry.

SOME of those pictures depict Masons.
Some? It is well known and documented that Masonic initiation involves grisly oaths and people wearing blindfolds and what looks like nooses arouond their necks. There is nothing Christian about the Free Masons, but much that is anti Biblical. Oh, wait, only SOME lodges have both a Bible and a Koran on their podiums. Organizations, like people, follow patterns and the patterns of the Free Masons have nothing to do with Christianity.

Kindly don't tell me about how they do good deeds. Not far from where I live there is a Shriners'hospital. I would never be admitted there, though once I went inside to visit someone. There were wierd, occultic, symbols all over their floors, even in the elevators. But that's just SOME of their hospitals so I guess you think I should over look it. No I don't.

Deny it if you want. I did my research. Again, look at their head dresses. What do they have to do with Christianity? Nothing. Yeal, I can see how Muslims in some countries, though, would be real cmfortable with Free Masonry since they hate Christianity.

Some of the pictures were of Masonic rituals. Others were not. That should matter to someone who likes to salt her posts with misleading terms like "common," "well-known," "research," and the like.

Organizations, like people, follow patterns and the patterns of the Free Masons have nothing to do with Christianity.[/quote
You are entitled to an opinion, of course, even if you have no first-hand knowledge of any of this.

Kindly don't tell me about how they do good deeds.
I had no intention of doing that. I was simply correcting the errors in your posts.

[quote There were wierd, occultic, symbols all over their floors, even in the elevators.
If you have no idea what they are, how do you know they are either weird or occultic [sic]?

ALBION It appears you had some confusion in posting above. Whatever, I am not going to debate it anymore. If I remember correctly in the past you said that you, yourself, are a Free Mason so no point arguing with someone with that history. Plus, this is not a debate forum so I am bowing out of this string. Anyone is free to research, starting with the link I gave above, or not. Up to them.

Thank you. This topic is not supposed to be discussed on this particular forum anyway, but rather on the Conspiracy Theories forum. That's what all this has been about--a theory relating to a fictional conspiracy.

This is a cult.
Can you please define cult as you use it and explain how Freemason fit the definition? I personally struggle with the label because they hold positions such as this:

Freemasonry unambiguously states that it is not a religion, nor a substitute for religion.[67] There is no separate "Masonic" God.[68] Nor is there a separate proper name for a deity in any branch of Freemasonry.[69] In keeping with the geometrical and architectural theme of Freemasonry, the Supreme Being is referred to in Masonic ritual by the attributes of Great Architect of the Universe (sometimes abbreviated as G.A.O.T.U.), Grand Geometer or something similar. Freemasons use these varied forms of address to make clear that the reference is generic, not about any one religion's particular identification of God (wikipedia).

That doesn't sound like a cult to me.

Historically it has been common for Masonic lodges to have both a Bible and a Koran on a podium
Can you provide references that demonstrate this is the historically standard practice?

Notice their clothing at higher levels, as it seems Arab inspired.
I suspect that Jesus may have worn Arab inspired clothing. Is there something inherently wrong with Arab inspired clothing? If you visit an Arab country, would it be immoral for you to dress like the culture? Most Arab clothing I've seen has come across as a lot more conservative and morally appropriate than western clothing, wouldn't you agree?

It is well known and documented that Masonic initiation involves grisly oaths and people wearing blindfolds and what looks like nooses arouond their necks.
Is there something inherently wrong with wearing a blindfold? If I see my child with a blindfold on, should I be worried? Is a noose inherently sinful and immoral? I think you may need to go a little deeper and seek to understand the symbols that they represent.

There is nothing Christian about the Free Masons, but much that is anti Biblical.
I don't know how you spend your time, but some of the Freemasons I know are involved in a lot of charity work. In fact, if you were able to be humble for a moment, I think you would probably have to acknowledge that there are a lot of Freemasons that do more good for the community they live in than you do.

Kindly don't tell me about how they do good deeds. Not far from where I live there is a Shriners'hospital.
What do you think they do in that hospital? Do they help people in that hospital? Do you think the hospital should be shutdown?

ALBION It appears you had some confusion in posting above. Whatever, I am not going to debate it anymore. If I remember correctly in the past you said that you, yourself, are a Free Mason so no point arguing with someone with that history
So this is interesting. You might actually have a real Freemason that you can ask direct questions to, get real insight, and potentially grow in your understanding of what Freemasons believe and how they operate - but instead you think the better approach is to rely on google Freemason hate sites than talk to an actual one? That's.... interesting...

You feel negative about the Masons for the same reason you feel positive about other groups, because, just like anyone else replying here, you have been "taught" to see each of those groups that way.
