Exclusive: Google Insider Turns Over 950 Pages Of Docs And Laptop To DOJ | Sara A Carter

A former Google insider claiming the company created algorithms to hide its political bias within artificial intelligence platforms – in effect targeting particular words, phrases and contexts to promote, alter, reference or manipulate perceptions of Internet content – delivered roughly 950 pages of documents to the Department of Justice’s Antitrust division Friday.
...
He told this reporter on his recent trip to Washington D.C. that the documents he turned over to the Justice Department will provide proof that Google has been manipulating the algorithms and the evidence of how it was done, the insider said.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai told the House Judiciary Committee in December, 2018, that the search engine was not biased against conservatives
.

... and few conservatives believed Pichai.

I honestly think that a free market can fix this issue,” he told this reporter at a meeting in Washington D.C. “The issue is that the free market has been distorted and what’s happened is that the distortion is so grotesque and the engineering is so repulsive, all we need to do is just expose what’s going on.

One hopes that he's correct.

The Google whistleblower has now gone public:
Google “Machine Learning Fairness” Whistleblower Goes Public, says: “burden lifted off of my soul”

"I saw something dark and nefarious going on with the company and I realized that there [sic] were going to not only tamper with the elections, but use that tampering with the elections to essentially overthrow the United States.
...
Vorhies described the incident to Project Veritas: “they got inside the gate, the police, and they started banging on my door… And so the police decided that they were going to call in additional forces. They called in the FBI, they called in the SWAT team. And they called in a bomb squad.”

“[T]his is a large way in which [Google tries to] intimidate their employees that go rogue on the company…”

Partial video of the incident was provided to Project Veritas. San Francisco police confirmed to Project Veritas that they did receive a “mental health call,” and responded to Vorhies’ address that day

It wasn't long ago that Google's motto was 'Don't be evil'. They ditched that. And then they enjoyed the common expression, "Google is your friend". I haven't heard that one in quite some time. It is good to try to de-google as much as possible, even to include not using 'google' as a verb. DuckDuckGo.com is a good substitute for search (you'll get more honest results and protect your privacy much better), and there are sites devoted to finding alternatives to other google services.

Oh my goodness, are you actually taking this guy seriously? Was the police mention of a ‘mental health call’ not a fairly big red flag for you on this one? Let alone the very idea that a Google algorithm was going to ‘overthrow the United States’.

Noting that 'Investigation' has been the political hot topic for some time now.

Unless it's about republicans, in which case it's "Hoax". amirite?

Right...but first rename where the evidence came from.
I believe that would speak to the matter of corruption.

One wonders which side here has a long history of renaming for political expediency? Which side stifles political discussion?

I believe it wouldn't.

One wasn't aware NHE was considered an entire side. Duly noted for future reference.

However, to get back on track, we have a group of people performing a process. It's the same group of people performing this large process which involves looking at a number of people.

When these people use this process to look at republicans, NHE calls it a hoax.
When the same people use the same process to look at democrats, NHE calls it an investigation.

Noting that's about as clear as I can make it. This has nothing to do with going where the evidence leads, and nothing to do with corruption, and everything to do with renaming for political expediency.

Just follow the evidence. It's coming out, whether anyone wants it to or not.

I'm still wondering about the connection between expressing a political viewpoint and being a monopoly. I mean, there were whole cases where the supreme court ruled that companies could have religious beliefs and it was fine to use those beliefs to limit the rights of their employees. Why can't they have political beliefs as well?
