Victoria Nuland Tells All on Steele Dossier ... Not

Former Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland has repeatedly downplayed her role in the spread of Christopher Steele’s anti-Trump dossier. Long-awaited evidence emerged last week showing Nuland was more involved in the dossier than she has let on – and in particular, more than she admitted under oath before the Senate Intelligence Committee.
...
That becomes clear in a 302 memo of an FBI interview with Ohr from Nov. 22, 2016 ... As the agents wrote it down, “OHR knew Glen [sic] Simpson and others were talking to Victoria Nuland at the U.S. State Department.”
...
For all her talk of staying away from partisan political propaganda – of being a career federal employee subject to the Hatch Act – Nuland was having conversations with the opposition researcher on the Clinton campaign’s payroll. How many times did Nuland listen to Simpson pitch Steele’s material? What did she do with the spurious information? Who were the “others” Bruce Ohr said Nuland was talking to about the dossier? Senator Burr’s Intel committee could recall the witness to give her a chance to amend or correct her testimony, since its investigation into the Russia affair is not yet finished

Oh my, how salacious! Notice the lack of assertions and the plethora of insinuating "questions". The old "Just Asking Questions" gambit - a way of accusing without accusing.

What I see is that Ohr recorded his actions and promptly turned them over to the FBI as is proper. What is the complaint - that he talked to people? I think that's part of his job.

It really is too bad there's no positive accomplishments for Donald to run on in 2020. If there were, I doubt he and the RNC / RT propaganda arm would need to push the stuff in the OP.

My summary: Victoria Nuland told Chris Steele to go away and take his stuff to the counterintelligence team at FBI, and at some other point in time also talked with Glen Simpson about... something. She also had conversations with other people.

It's worth noting that Victoria Nuland is a fan of "locking up people" for corruption.

Victoria Nuland - Wikipedia
"It's time to start locking up people who have ripped off the Ukrainian population for too long and it is time to eradicate the cancer of corruption".

One can't help but think about Karma ...

Wikipedia says he refers to himself as a "liberal interventionist". He also endorsed Hillary in 2016.

Well, yes, he's a Never Trumper, but back in the day he and Bill Kristol were cheerleaders for the Iraq War.

Well, if you're claiming that the DNC did the wrong thing, then obviously Trump was not only as completely guilty but more so--because he is continuing to assert that if foreign countries give him information damaging to his opponents he has every right to use them.

It also says the DNC gave the report to the FBI. Well, hey, that's what Trump says he DOESN'T have to do. The DNC did the right thing giving the report to the FBI. The FBI investigated it and thought there might be a little hyperbole in the hotel frolics stories.

The FBI would not have been able to get FISA warrants if a judge did not deem that there was sufficient evidence to warrant such a warrant.

Now that the Mueller report has been issued, of course, we know that there was plenty of evidence to warrant the issuance of warrants.

I continue to believe in fairness. The FBI cannot indict the DNC or Clinton without indicting Trump and his team for worse offenses. Period.
