Seems to be happening every summer. Something to think about.

Heat wave blazes on: At least 3 people die due to scorching weather

The worst affected people seem to be the poor, elderly and minorities.

Extreme weather events, like the current heat wave, fall hardest on the poor and elderly, experts say

Apparently it buckles roads too, if you scroll down on this page you can see what it does to roads:Heat Wave Kills 2, Forces Cancellation of NYC Triathlon; Subway Lines Halted | The Weather Channel

Its is really hot in Europe today, they are having a huge heatwave!
Soon even the roads will catch fire!
But its not too late to change, their governments can make gas and diesel even more expensive, then the roads wont be needed. Could give them a rest for a few years, think of the savings in road maintenance alone.
Double the prices should convince people of something, wait, they already did that.
Living a better life is so overrated...

I grew up in the 60's and 70's and we had really hot summer days too back then.
We also had bad storms and hurricanes and crop failures and droughts.
Well of course. But are you denying that GLOBAL temperatures are increasing?

If you trust them not to put these thermometers in hotter places like heat islands in cities, which they have done. And those older measurements are actually real accurate to tenths of degrees, right sure they are. Going back to the Civil War

The Climate Sciences Use Of The Urban Heat Island Effect Is Pathetic And Misleading
That's right, go ahead and ignore the fact that it was climate scientists who identified heat islands. Go ahead and pretend climate scientists are so dumb they don't know how to allow for that. Go ahead and imagine that climate scientists have some sinister motive for - as an entire muti-national, multi-ethnic, multi-religious group - to deliberately lie and manipulate for decades. Go right ahead and, by your mean spirited objections, threaten the welfare of billions. Go right ahead, but do not think for one millisecond that the future will forgive you.

You do realise that the datasets "they" use are publicly available, right? Here, for instance, is the CRUTEM dataset for your downloading pleasure.
https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/hadobs/crutem4/data/station_files/CRUTEM.4.6.0.0.station_files.zip

It contains a file listing all the more than 10000 weather stations providing data and I can tell you with great certainty that not many of them are located in cities.

Also, thermometers are really not that complicated and ever since Daniel Fahrenheit invented the mercury thermometer in the early 1700s we have been able to measure temperatures to within fractions of a degree.

There are over 18,000 land and sea weather measuring stations around the world. The are in such places as Guyana, the Arctic, the Antarctic, and the rain forests of South America. Very few appear to be in in the areas of heat islands. Also, there have been scientifically accurate temperature devices going back over 200 years.
