No chapter and verse then? I just wondered.Every point is clothed with Scripture , many Scriptures verify all the posts in harmony with all of Yahuweh's Word.
TORAH, PROPHETS, PSALMS and NEW TESTAMENT - pick one or more to look in, and a sub-topic ... ? (what point to look for)
One should be wearing his best in front of the altar of God.His dwelling is in his people not in buildings. And wherever I am when I worship it is with the angels and saints. They are not confined to buildings made with human hands.
Rather, "clothed (fully) in Scripture" ,No chapter and verse then? I just wondered.
You have your views and I have mine. Did Jesus have a 'best' outfit do you think? Or his followers? He sent them out in just what they stood up in. It is more important that our hearts and minds are clean and pure rather than what we wear. One should be wearing his best in front of the altar of God.
I like to wear my best collar when i go to church.
Looking good for God, and not for the people there is always a GREAT thing!
In my church only one elderly man wears a suit. All the other men, elderly or otherwise come in sweater and shirts, slacks or jeans and most of the ladies wear trousers, jeans, dresses or skirts.I am not saying we should not admit people who are not wearing tie and a suit, I remember that as a college student, I didn't have the money to get a suit so I wore a shirt/polo shirt, jeans, and casual shoes. When I was obligated to get a suit for college senate, I was able to wear it to church.
Well, I am not sure because they were probably poor or maybe they weren't, but I don't see anywhere in the Bible that says we are free to wear whatever we want. You have your views and I have mine. Why can't I quote them?Ok but you can't quote them.
I'm not sure now if she has read the Bible at all ...... it seems curious to think that any believer could ever do whatever they wanted to do,Well, I am not sure because they were probably poor or maybe they weren't, but I don't see anywhere in the Bible that says we are free to wear whatever we want.
Good for them.In my church only one elderly man wears a suit. All the other men, elderly or otherwise come in sweater and shirts, slacks or jeans and most of the ladies wear trousers, jeans, dresses or skirts.
Well, the queen and royalty get to keep their dignity and their jobs much easier,I believe if it useless to wear fine clothes if your heart isn't in the right place but I assume everyone should know that here.
No.Good for them.
I disagree that they could wear their best if possible, but it is not my church so I try not to judge them.No.
It is never good for them if they contravene (disobey) God's Purpose, Plan and Word.
Or were you being sarcastic /s ?
I don't see anywhere in the bible where it says we aren't free to wear what we want. Why are we not free to wear what we want. What would you wear if you wore what you wanted? I wear what I want and it's usually something pretty and feminine and modest. And I would wear the same clothes on a Sunday as any other day. I don't understand why wearing what we want is not acceptable.Well, I am not sure because they were probably poor or maybe they weren't, but I don't see anywhere in the Bible that says we are free to wear whatever we want.
