Jesus said, "Come as you are" as long as you aren't dressed like you want someone to lust after you and are modest in clothes that you wear, you should be fine.

Though I do agree that we should look our best for God, it is not, and shouldn't be a requirement for church to wear a suit or dress respectively, Jesus never wore a suit.

Would coming to church in some Old Testament Garments and New Testament Footwear be so bad? LOL!

I used to wear suits only to services, but I've gained weight and cannot wear them anymore. (I keep hoping I will lose the weight, but so far, not so good.) I started, then, wearing whatever I wore to the grocery store, but recently realized that this was not modest enough. So more recently, I changed what I wear everywhere, period. Now, I dress more modestly at all times, and I still wear to services whatever I wear to the store.

A testimony for this thread could never have been better, my Sunday Best is my favorite T-Shirt, Blue Jeans, and some Nike Max Airs in case I have to run towards something. Or Away, LOL!

In the virtual church I attend, we choose our outfits via VR. I could be sitting at home in my PJ's on my sofa and virtually sitting in a pew with a suit at the same time.

I think clean, neat, not so casual as to communicate disrespect, is enough.

Dressing up can be fun but making it the "standard" can create all sorts of problematic social dynamics.

I would love to wear this to Easter Mass someday. The African Christians in a parish near us always come dressed up. They have these beautiful hand-made traditional dresses and head wraps.

That sounds like a wonderful thing, making your own amazing clothes, and wearing them to church. Whenever God sends me a Wife I hope she and I will be able to do stuff like that together, it'll be romantic!

I'll be happy with whoever God sends, hobbies are just a bonus. More importantly, is the fact that I only think about Love as God Teaches in the Bible, because I have no experience with women or dating.

I'd be impressed to see the girl that can accept me after seeing my true self, the real me. If she even exists.

Sounds like you have awesome priorities. Be patient. God can arrange a marriage for you. But sounds like you're looking for all the right things.
